      KANTHOEUN CHHOEUY I bought at Cambodian or Thai grocery store in Long Beach, California.
      It’s very hard to find that’s why I made another video using Jackfruit.
      Sometimes I used Darien flavor.
      You can ask the store employees for “palm paste “.
      Usually it comes in a glass jar and already have salt in it.
      So when you make this rice cake don’t put salt.

      It’s depending on the pot & the temperature of the water that we used or the surrounding area temperature.
      I had the same problem.
      I notice that when I used the water cold it doesn’t grow much or during winter time.
      But it grows better during summer or when I used the water from the hose outside my house.
      Every time I used water from outside it’s more chubbier than the water from the sink inside the house. Sometimes when I don’t feel like going outside to get water I used very slightly warm water from the sink, not too warm though, or it will be rotten.
      You can try that, which is how I grow the bean sprout.
      We I live in Cambodia my mom used clay container, but live in the USA I used metal cooking pot.
      I boil water in that pot to kill anything that can contaminate the bean sprouts before I start growing.

      Srey Dy the same time with coconut milk & water add up to 750 ml or 3 cups total liquid.
      If you don’t want coconut milk in the cake just palm & water add up to 3 cups for 1 bag/ 1 lbs of flour .

      Tinrath so - Total liquid includes palm paste 750 ml or 3 cups. You can use 1 cup or a little more palm paste, add to that palm paste 1 cup of coconut milk or 1 small can & add water to measure up to 750ml. If you use palm paste from the jar don’t add salt to this recipe that palm paste already have salt.

      Try to add 1/2 Tsp of sugar to the yeast will help rise better too. When mixing the yeast with warm water and set aside while beating the flour use a little bigger bowl. Watch my recent rainbow colors video how I mix the yeast.

      @@sreyly7559 blend durian smooth first then add to the liquid total
      750 -760 ml. Don’t forget to whip the flour mixture at least 7 minutes before adding the yeast mixture. So that you get softer/fluffy cake inside . Other people make on CZcams the cake rise, but the inside is kind of tougher. The longer you beat the more fluffier inside & cake rise better too.
      Today I’m going to try to make “Num Akor with bean inside”. I saw people bought them from 7-11 stores in Japan.

      Use one can of coconut milk (12 oz.)
      Add these ingredients:
      One teaspoon of salt
      One teaspoon of sugar
      One tablespoon of rice flour
      Mix all ingredients with the coconut milk until no more lumps
      Then boil it and set it aside
      After you steam the cake
      Remove it from the stove and pour a teaspoon/tablespoon of coconut milk onto the cake right after while it’s hot
      When it cools down the coconut milk should stick to the cake
      Don’t put the coconut milk while you steam or else the cake will stop rising

      Hello chum reab suor aun, first of all, can I reply in English I can type faster.
      At work I use computer everyday.
      If you use the Palm from the Jar "DO NOT ADD SALT" to the dry ingredients, that Palm paste already have salt in it.
      Measure 300 ML palm and add hot water to it to make up 750 ML (that will make it warm). FOLLOW instructions the same way as on the video.
      You can make any flavors as long as it add up to 750 ML. Put the fruit flavor in the measurement cup first then add hot water to make up 750ML.
      DO NOT FORGET TO WHIP/BEAT FOR 8-10 MINUTES, the longer you whip the more fluffy inside.

      I will try very hard to put new one every week. I work full time & 3 kids & a husband this is not my work. This is for sharing my knowledge of cooking.
      My goal is to share all the recipes that I learn from my mom & try to convert it to more simple way of cooking to the people that doesn't know how or hate cooking.
      My mom Knew how to cook almost all Cambodian food, I learn everything from her. She passed away 15 years ago.
      I will start recording what I cook for my family & share to the public.
      Smaller batch is very easy for me, sometimes I have to cook for temple (Santa Ana, California) that feed more than 300 people, which I donate my time & money to do for free.
      The people at the temple told me to share my recipes, they said "don't take to the grave with you".

      I just finished A Kor knohr (jackfruit) to take to the temple tomorrow and A Kor knohr ktis.
      If you want to see I can put on CZcams this weekend. When I used jackfruit I have to reduce sugar, because jackfruit is kind of sweet already.
