- Luka Cruysberghs was only 16-years-old when she stunned the Coaches with her amazing rendition of Sweet Dreams. After getting a four-chair turn, she chose to be on Team Alex. This might’ve been the best decision of her life, as she is now the lead singer of his band ánd they are Belgium’s act during the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest!

She is what we call an emo artist. Her voice is the emotion she doesn’t need movement or dance to enhance her voice. And I might add she’s only 16yrs of age.
WOW. I love her voice. She doesn't move very much or show much emotion in her face and yet, her performances are very captivating because of tone and quality of her voice. That's really amazing. She just has this voice that gets inside of you.
This girl is very good. The first song gave me goosebumps.

I think the voice is the greatest thing that happened in the music industry in the last 20 years for a new and upcoming artist.

Why the fuck did it take them that long to press the button? The first time she did that transition to her high tones, boom and the button would have been smashed. She's got a fantastic tone.

Luka has a very unique voice, somewhere inbetween sexy & spine-tingling/ haunting.That battle (2nd song) was a waste to me; the guy wasn't close to her, or others I've seen, singing ability. Although I'm writing a bit early, having listened to most but not all, "Sweet Dreams" is totally #1. It's like the song & arrangement was written for her. (There's a video of her singing more than The Voice's relatively snippet.)
Coming in 2nd, Love lost in love. Don't know if Hoovermatic's Alex's group mentioned, but there's a vid with them with her singing "I'm not Romantic", which would actually be a close 2nd to her "Sweet Dreams" for similar reasons.
I do need to thank whomever put this video together; well done. The only problem I have & not your fault: wish, esp. the live shows, etc., the singers weren't (I believe) limited to 2 minutes.

It is a eurythmics song NOT marilyn manson.
The original is a Eurythmics song, released in 1983, that's true. But her choice for blind audition was cover by Marylin Manson (released 1994 or 5 not sure about that). In the description, below the video, you can find full list of her performances where this information is, and also infobox in video says it's cover by Marylin Manson ("versie" means "cover by").

I read some harsh comments about her while compared with previous singers of Hooverphonic. And what should I say? May favourite performance in this song is "Mad about you".

But, her voice is very good
I mean, I wouldn’t begrudge her the success she has had on this show, but in comparison to other countries‘ the voice her talent fades. She might improve over time, but she lacks pitch and thus intonation on many occasions. It also seems that she is in utter need of some singing technique. Don’t get me wrong, she’s not horrible at all, but I don’t get the fascination in her voice. Sweet kid though
She has a diffrent voice compared to other contestants. But the genre she brings/sings is much loved here. That's the main reason she won.

Song choices weren't very good, somewhat obscure. It shows her inexperience unnecessarily, her voice still needs training and without the song familiarity people are working hard to match her tone with the music

She's not one of those participants who screams all the time. It doesn't make her bad at all. I don't know where you're from, but here in Belgium we love songs and voices like hers. That's why she won.
