      I have a 2004 350z. It only had 47k miles on it when I got it. I had to replace the radiator fan assembly, camshaft and crankshaft sensors, all of the ignition coils (they started to fail at 55k miles), the convertible top, and had to grease the rear axle to eliminate the clicking noise coming from left, rear wheel.

    In 2010, I bought a used 2004 350z Touring for $12.5K
    Issues:
    Mostly working intermittent subwoofer (now almost always dead). Please let me know if you have a simple fix.
    Driver's side window auto up causes window to go all the way up, then halfway down & stop.
    6-disc CD changer that died around 2012 with one of my CDs still inside.
    Replaced the front lower control arms (due to worn bushings) around 2016.
    Replaced the rear hatch struts (hatch didn't stay up) in 2010.
    Replace the rear hatch lift springs (& added pennies) but it still usually requires a push of the release button, lift hatch and push again to open. Even removed the 4 lb weight & did a rear wiper delete... no diff.
    Front dash cubby storage door just stopped working.
    Hundred little paint chips in the front panel :-(
    19 MPG (combined and 25 MPG HWY with 87 octane. Lower with 91 octane).
    But overall, Great bang for the buck and super fun to drive !

    I bought a '06 in 2012, When the window motor goes bad, replace it with a new not a rebuild unit. The new one I put in the passenger side in 2114 still works great. The rebuild one on the driver side, has gone bad 7 times now. There a free replacement from the auto part store, but I kind of messed up the door and window from taking it apart so many times over the years.

    A few things to add, clutches are weak on all cars, exhaust backbox connection rusts badly. On 2007+ HR models nissan changed the clutch slave cylinder to a concentric type which is inside the bellhousing now and is very poorly designed and fails a lot so gearbox off job to replace a £100 part.

    Have a 350z(2004) for already like almost 5 year. Only one ignition coil broke down 115 euro. For the rest. No real problems.
    Also these "common" problems are easy cheap fixes. Sub Amp 3 dollar fix, Window regulator is 10 dollar fix, trunk lid well. Mine still not replaced lol. CD player not yet fixed should be cheap but am lazy.

    Super video, jako vždy!:) Mám jen otázku, šlo by udělat video o Infiniti FX45 kolem roku 2005? Tady se moc nevidí a moc lidí o něm moc neví, a upřímně, je to teď právě auto, o které mám zájem a na jeden kousek se pojedu podívat :) Díky moc!

    • @differentcarreview-dcr
      @differentcarreview-dcr  Před 7 lety +1

      vdaka, najväčší problém pri FX45 je že motory v nich často žerú olej - hlavne kvôli karbónovým usadeninám okolo piestnych krúžkov, tento problém spôsobuje hlavne dlhý interval výmeny oleja, alebo nekvalitný olej, čiže pri takomto aute by som si dával pozor hlavne na toto a na dodržiavanie pravidelných intervalov výmeny oleja-najlepšie každých 10 000 km / alebo 1x ročne, možno o FX45 spravím aj video-no kedy presne, to ti teraz neviem povedat :D

    • @differentcarreview-dcr

      tak ono to dosť závisí v akom je to konkrétne auto stave, ale inak Lexus je o niečo spolahlivejší, to je fakt.

    What cars you owned till now? Why do you include as good cars those which are produced 1 year before facelift ones started?
    Thank you Boss!

    • @differentcarreview-dcr
      @differentcarreview-dcr  Před 7 lety +2

      I had a 1997 BMW 528i E39, then a 2003 Audi A6 2.5 TDI Quattro, I sold them both. In the past I had a opportunity to drive for a couple of months also some other cars.
      Well, it's not always 1 year before facelift, it's basically about early production cars. When the automakers make a brand new model, then that specific model-from the early production usually has more problems. It's because of the new/different parts, new technologies, new production methods, maybe new parts suppliers etc.

      haitham baloch depends how much you have. I would go with the 07-2008 350z for the hp & engine upgrade. All cars have problems and you're bound to run into them sooner or later. If You're buying it from a private seller check for previous accidents if any. Keep in mind the location of the car (any major floods?) Also mileage, service lights, clutch etc. Overall the Z is a very reliable daily driven car in my opinion. It does consume a lot of oil but I love the car a lot and have never meet anyone with a Z that has had any major issues with it. I would still chose the 370 over the 350 tho lol

      wuhahaha the 350z owned the top in the UK listing of reliable sportscars. This thing is a ROCK. You are misinformed. All these problems are just small "few dollar" fixes mostly.

    • @picklerix6162
      @picklerix6162 Před 4 lety +1

      I think the 350z is a well designed car and, so far, has been quite easy to fix for DIY mechanics like me. It is one of Nissan’s more reliable cars but Nissan bean counters do affect reliability. I inherited my 350z from a relative. I know the car was not abused so the engine is solid. You can expect camshaft sensors, ignition coils, and window motors to fail on these cars. I suspect the Renault merger and financial problems caused Nissan to source the cheapest parts for their vehicles. Ford has had similar parts quality issues with their cars too. BTW, if you want a super reliable sports car, buy a Mazda Miata. They are nice cars but are a lot slower than a 350z.

    • @philiparrington4257
      @philiparrington4257 Před 4 lety +1

      Don't be so quick to write off the 350Z they're fantastically reliable cars and after a few years small things do go wrong but are not expensive fixes they are well worth the money and very reliable. I bought a 2004 350Z with the d e engine before I even drove it I replace the valve covers spark plugs rear hatch struts one ball joint oil cooler gasket right behind the oil filter and PCV valve. I did all this including labor for less than $400 it has 100 and 1000 miles I paid 6800 for the car and now it's perfect I have 7200 in it it's got a hundred thousand miles left trouble free and nothing is wrong with it. I'm the third owner and it's always been adult driven with no modifications and maintained very well. They are well worth the price

      S2000 is a great car, even better than 350Z in some respects, but its a soft top and 50% more expensive (at least in europe) so not really an alternative for most people I think.
      NSX is in a completely different price range.

      Michal Hantl : NSX true different price range but wow what a car ever since the new NSX has been released the first ones have gone up in price a lot. and the S2000 also I drove one just recently the engine in that was awesome.

      Nissan just CURRENTLY uses Renault parts. Before it was only the other way around. You are misinformed. The Nissan 350z is a pure Nissan car. Nothing about it is "renault".
