      I'm constantly on the lookout for mods which make him as aggressive and unforgiving as midir. So far I've only found one . He deserves much more than being a stationary turret for the majority of the fight (even his teleportation phase is more like a "outburst" : he goes back to being passive after a minute or so.)

    On the topic of Prime Radagon, I'm kinda disappointed that no one has made a Prime Radagon model.
    Like, someone made a model for Marika where she's whole and not a cracked statue-thingy. _(Granted, it's expectedly a more lewd/thicc version of her, but fact remains she still got a model.)_
    We all know Marika is hot but we gotta give Radagon some credit too. Someone make a model for Radagon where he's still whole.
    Give us the Ra-Daddy-gone mod!

    Commande Niall always surprises me in the weirdest ways. There's times him and his minions get bodied by stuff that only does mostly well, and other times he chads his way through some of the really tough contenders, even beating something that Maliketh lost to.
    I think it's due to how overwhelming some things are. If the challenger is tanky, his damage (which I hear is more than God), his poise damage, and his Frostbite just tears through it. The opponent needs oppressive force too.

    The grab unironically fucked Radagon over in these fights. He probably would have won all of them if that grab didn't exist

  • @helljoe3870
    @helljoe3870 Před 5 měsíci +10

    Maliketh, the only boss in the game that buffs his opponent -with the 20 sec long health "debuff", which heals them during their stronger, more aggressive phases. It is also the first, and only ability in the history of Fromsoft games where the boss has a worse version of an ability compared to the player (the health debuff dealt by our use of destined death doesnt heal opponent after wearing off.)

    • @Shin_FTW
      @Shin_FTW Před 5 měsíci +4

      Well, it's not that it "heals" them. It's that, when you apply the DD, it instantly takes a chunk of health off. When it wears off, that chunk of health comes back. So it's like an investment. Had it not been applied at all, Radagon would've had that health amount anyway.

    • @helljoe3870
      @helljoe3870 Před 5 měsíci +5

      @@Shin_FTW No other bosses have this version of 'investment" then : Malenia's rot healing you after a while, Godfrey taking bonus poise damage after a while, and so on. And it's worse because it heals them during their stonger subphases (Radagon has 3 subphases that most people dont know bec of how fast they merc him.).
      And the mistaken assumption is that the debuff is applied at the very start of a fight, where it would be actually useful. Maliketh mostly deals the debuff when he doesn't need it at all 12:04. So he wouldn't "have that amount of health anyway".
      It's not a investment, but another in a line of 100 undertuning disadvantages stacked on maliketh by the developers because they overestimated how difficult he would be for a new player (I know this because I dabble in modding- the devs went out of their way to create a "max health restore" speffect that would activate after _malikeths's version_ of "max health debuff" wore off. This isn't the case with the tarnished's version of "max health debuff" , and is a lot of unnecessary work for a team that wanted to release Elden ring as fast as possible)

    • @Shin_FTW
      @Shin_FTW Před 4 měsíci

      @@helljoe3870You're reading too far into it. It's applied on certain hits from DD, and it instantly takes a big chunk of HP off when it does that, but that effect isn't permanent. All the other DD DoT is permanent, but the initial instant % of health taken isn't. When it wears off though, it can be reapplied.
      It's essentially extra free damage. It could be seen as a detriment if it puts a boss into phase 2 and then wears off to "heal" them during it, but only if Maliketh doesn't land any hits that reapply it in a while. That's just a consequence of balancing.
      Though it's not an effective balance since Maliketh is one of the most busted bosses in the game. With the exception of Melania and maybe Placidusax sometimes, Maliketh shreds the other bosses because his DoT application is broken. Each one not only adds to the total % of HP the target loses, but it stacks at the same time to increase the speed of the DoT rather than increasing the duration, allowing Maliketh to kill tanky bosses unreasonably and unfairly fast.

    Lore wise, how powerful is Radagon?

    • @matheusmillion
      @matheusmillion Před 5 měsíci +1

      It depends on the interpretation if he was always a part of Marika, or just a champion that later reunited with her. Anyway, he was known to rival Rennala in the Second Liurnia War, which makes him equivalent to Prime Rennala (she can said to be the most powerful sorcerer in history, excluding Ranni). When he became Second Elden Lord, he most likely became one with Marika, thus making him a God.
      Prime Rennala is most likely bellow all the lategame bosses in terms of power (ex: she most likely wouldn't be able to defeat Fire Giant, Placi or Mohg). She also doesn't hold a candle to the godlike beings such as Malenia, Maliketh or our Tarnished. So, she most likely caps around Morgott level, which can make sense since he could repel the attacking armies and smaller Radahn while using his Margit persona.
      TLDR: champion Radagon is capped around Morgott level, while Second Elden Lord Radagon is the same as Marika (third most powerful being short of Elden Beast and endgame Tarnished).

    • @Count.Saruman
      @Count.Saruman Před 5 měsíci +5

      Not very. He was not as strong a warrior as Godfrey (per Radahn and Miriel), he couldn't defeat Rennala in Liurnia, and is generally overshadowed by his children. People call him 'leal hound' (loyal dog), a term typically reserved for a lackey/enforcer instead of a King.
      He also somehow managed to lose the Golden Order Greatsword in the Mountaintops of the Giants. He might have been on the way to becoming stronger, though, since the Greater Will was making him absorb Marika (or Marika was being 'regressed' into Radagon according to Marika's bedchamber dialogue), before Marika shattered the Elden Ring and put a stop to it.

    • @matiasluukkanen7718
      @matiasluukkanen7718 Před 5 měsíci +2

      If Marika is Radagon, then most powerful "human" entity in lands between. With Elden Ring he/she can practically edit reality.
      Only Elden Beast is stronger.
      And Malenia, Goddess of Rot is in the same tier of strength, though still trying to reach her full potential.
      Shattered Radagon is considerably weaker, though.

      @Toot7. Před 5 měsíci

      @@Shin_FTW Yeah, but Maliketh’s resistance to holy didn't help much cuz not all of Radagon's attacks deal holy damage and the final stagger + Maliketh’s laughable poise (generally) saved Radagon from a loss even with Maliketh’s worst RNG. Despite that, Maliketh almost killed him with all the buffs he got. Lol
