    Pretty much just gettin in the worship scene with drumming. I've been a hard hitter 90% of my career. It's tough finding a church band that I can play like me without getting the look 😂
    So I'm stuck behind an electronic kit. I know, boooooo. But this is the next song I need to put together. It's going to be a challenge without that second snare. But I like a challenge.
    Awesome job tho brother ! Bravo

    Hey. I'm looking to buy my first pair of higher end hihats. Would your raw/classic combo be worth considering? Unfortunately It's hard to know exactly what you'll like when you can't play them personally.

    • @BrandonGH5
      @BrandonGH5  Před 4 lety +2

      Defiant_Wolf WOTB absolutely. It’s best of both worlds with these. You get wash and a nice chick at the same time. The good thing about Heartbeat is they let you try them and if you don’t like the combo you can try another till you find what you like

    • @defiant_wolfwotb9793
      @defiant_wolfwotb9793 Před 4 lety

      @@BrandonGH5 Awesome man, thanks for replying. I'm beginning to find more people who are using or have used this combo. I think I will make my hats 16" rather then 17" just because iv played 14" my whole life and I'm guessing anything over 16" is going to feel very different from the 14". I love the bigger sounds for worship though. The only thing is I would take a 17" crash over a 16" crash so If there really is no difference in versatility you can let me know if you want. thanks

    • @BrandonGH5
      @BrandonGH5  Před 4 lety

      Defiant_Wolf WOTB honestly it doesn’t make that big of a difference. I would go with 17s for sure. The reason I started playing 17 hats is because of Steve Jordan. I haven’t played anything under that in years. It’s all personal preference though.

    In your opinion, heartbeat or dreamcymbals?

    • @BrandonGH5
      @BrandonGH5  Před 4 lety +1

      Gustavo Casimiro both are great! I love dreams, but there 24” bliss flat ride is not the sound I was looking for. And it’s pretty much the only 24” option besides the contact version but it’s thicker. So if I had to choose, Heartbeats all the way!!

    • @luchitocrack5299
      @luchitocrack5299 Před 4 lety

      @@BrandonGH5 I need a surround sound, between bliss 24, and the heartbeat jazz and epic ride, which one could you recommend? I want to feel the cymbals in my head.
      thanks for answering.

    • @HalfAcreFarms
      @HalfAcreFarms Před 4 lety

      Gustavo Casimiro Heartbeat 24” Jazz ride is incredible . The Epic is awesome too . Istanbul makes amazing cymbals and you will see a lot of people using them but in my honest opinion, the price difference between Heartbeat and Istanbul does not justify the difference/quality in sound . There are a lot of factors that come into play and it comes down to what you like . I use a 24” Heartbeat Jazz ride and I could not be happier. The sound is very complex and it has great stick definition that does not get lost. Never mind the sound of the bell 🤤 . Check out a guy named Junior Ezeugwu . He is drummer at Radiant Church . Incredible is all I can say about him . I would say he is one of the best under the radar drummers I have heard.
