- In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2005 Dodge Durango Limited. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this suv while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this suv designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

We still have our 2004 Durango Hemi we bought in 2005 with 30,000 miles. It now has 157,000. It looks just like this one. Had to put a new engine it in at 57,000 miles. Not sure why, the oil was changed regularly and maintained well. Still a great SUV. It runs great, so we still got our monies worth even with new engine. It does cost alot in gas. About $300 to drive 10 hours. We drove it everywhere and on numerous trips per year. We just use it now to run local errands to hardware stores for home projects, sports, farm trips, need to transport numerous kids. It does seat 7! I liked the easy access to have cargo room and haul items. Just research years in regard to problem with their engines.
My aunt has one of these with all the options and the 5.7 Liter Hemi with a Flowmaster Tailpipe on it. I LOVE riding in it! It intimidates everybody!
My Durango is at 250k miles and still runs absolutely great
Dodge Durango's are great Vehicle's. The Body style and very roomy inside.
Agreed
Me too Agreed
Yea, buddy
Couldn't agree more, both my parents(My parents are divorced) had one, My mom's was silver and my dad's was black.
metallica!
Beautiful job on the detailing.
This vehicle is no longer around I'm sure but the video was really really good. This is a great video for other folks looking to see what exactly the Durango entails.
Thank you so much for this tour. It was excellent.
Kyle, you can make any vehicle look like it just rolled out of the showroom. Great job on the video! Also, I may be in the minority, but I like these. It's my favorite generation of the Durangos.
I have one. Love it. Bulletproof engine
I've always wondered, why do people not like column shifters? I've always thought it felt cool to have a column shifter instead of the floor
Speedysnail9999 that's why I'm going with Chevy trucks, it makes more sense
@@dannystrahan6386 so this is only time General Motor did it right
Just bought mines at the auction today and surprise it came with 2 15s in the trunk 3 amplifiers already connected and all kind of other what nots at the DMV right now so excited 😊
One thing I will definitely say, I specifically wanted a V8 SUV, the MPG wasn't what I wanted, I wanted the power. I also like how the 1st gen. looks the best.
its in really nice shape i must say!
I got mines in 2005 fully upgraded still have it with 90k miles I take real good care of this baby its guna be a classic one day I just added 22 inch rims and 4 15" speakers
I got a 2005 dodge Dorango has 3.7 liter engine with over 225000 + miles on it paid 5,000 dollars in September of 2016 and still going strong Love it
Rare to see v6 Durango 2nd gen
I like the older Durangos the best.
Great vid as always Kyle! Very nice Durango!
MAN! Who whoever got this is LUCKY! Such GREAT condition for a 05 durango! Love the design, engine is powerful and a great sound, omg I hope the owners are taking just as good of care of it as the previous owners! I want one of these :D
Mine is 83,000 miles looks just like it if you take care of the paint it will stay nice
yes i did and I love it ... I was saying this old Durango people like you love it so much..
Thanks Kyle, i have been looking to purchase a used SUV and i think i might get the durango. Your video helped in my choice. Thanks again
Thank you to my dad for making this my childhood core memory
The Durango is one big bad ass truck! I have a 2004 with 60,700 estimated miles, anyone who owns it will like it
nice job on the detail
Very nice SUV, even when it has about 8 years, nice video kyle!
they are good suv's, they are made by the same company and same assembly line as jeep, in fact they have the same transmission and engine as jeep. i have a black 2004 4x4 tow package and am very very happy with it.
I say the truck looks very nice. It's my favorite generation of the Durango :)
That truck looks nice!
I agree
That's unfortunate
@@WMItruckspotting this model is based off the dodge ram, the first generation durango was based off the Dakota and the current generation durango is based off the jeep grand cherokee uni body whereas the previous generations had body on frames
@@captainobvious5993 I don't remember making that comment lol
Yes you are right
looks great, I'd like to get one myself.

@celsovera91 On these older Chrysler vehicles the keyless remote was separate from the key.
I like the look of this car. Very unique, I'd drive one of these
doombeast45 Very comfortable to drive. We still have our 2004. Body and inside still looks nice.

I remember I wanted one of these back in the bush. It was this or a 2002 Ford Expedition 5.4. Ended up getting a 2016 Ford F150... Lol.
I see you have a few durangos there!
Kyle! You shut it off during the solo of Bohemian Rhapsody! HOW COULD YOU?!
@FuturisticMusic94 , for sure! Like I said before, I own an '04 SLT with the Hemi, and its my 1st vehicle I ever owned! If u like big powerful trucks, you WILL love it!
@fanowner12
You should watch the video again because it actually has a rear DVD player.
Not every Durango Limited had Navigation System or fake wood trim. Those were options as well as the Sunroof.
05:03-This car is...MASTER!MASTER!
@mrmaturitydelinquent I Plan On Purchasing An 04-09 So Its Good To Hear Someone Actually Appreciates This As Much As I Do.!!!
hemi engines are awesome
@d0ugz24 do like the older ones better ? the 03 and down ?
That's a nice caprice sitting back there
@finalgamer32 oooooooooh i never thought about the audi R8!! that would be great!
Very nice kyle
I like the 2005 Dodge Dorango

Brandon J. .
Are those tweeters in the rear passenger doors?
The front of the car looks like it is frowning at you!
My mom had this car before but in gray and lifted and black rims and mud tiers
you should do a 2011 durango citadel when you get the time of course

If you don't have a big family get the 2010 jeep commander hemi that thing is a beast
@datboiwes333 i think this gen durango had the all in one key but he must of been using the valet key
How do you fix the power locks
5.4 buddy btw what kind of truck do you drive now ?
@saabkyle04 Doesn't 4 of the cylinders '' turn off '' when your're cruisin at low speeds ?=D
hola compa saludos desde chile, memo ando en busca de una camioneta me gusta mucho la Dodge Durango 2010 5.7 Hemi que tal me la recomiendas ?
what's the size of the speakers??
My mom has a hemi version. Gas mileage is horrible but the thing is fun!
kcin1523 my ‘04 Limited hemi gets me 11mpg. The skinny pedal is too much fun especially with the exhaust I have.
Skinny pedal
Bohemian Rhapsody playing in the background ❤❤
can you do that lancer?
1:02 i like that startup
the transmission on the 2004-2009 Dodge Dakota
Transmission
4-speed 42RLE automatic
5-speed 545RFE automatic
My grandpa has the same Durango but blue
I like the new durangos. Saw em at the auto show very impressive.
Although I like these too. This is one car from Chrysler I would buy. ( Well I'd much rather have the Aspen.
can u do a test drive PLEASEE!!!!!!!!!!
@saabkyle04 wow dude i have no idea how you are able to stay so calm and polite when you have jerks making such rediculous comments i would loose it. good job on the vid
the 2003-2009 Dodge Durango was assembled in
Newark, Delaware, United States
1:17 I like that horn
i have notice that the engine is familiar and looks the same to jeep liberty's engine ? but that 5,7 and liberty 3,7?
@TheMacbooksRock15 I would not be surprised if Chrysler pulled that one off. They used 3 speeds on the Caravan through 2001!
Are these better than expedition on gas or bout the same ????
Where to get the AUX link in the car
shouldn't the durange came with keyless entry integrated to the remote?
Could you please do a 1992 to 1995 honda civic hatchback?
@chrisson123 yes sir, and the new 2011, that one is beautiful!
hey can you do Kia Optima SX plz?
@johnfee33 Yes they sell cars I believe this ones still for sale, last time I checked autotrader it was,

WHOAA!! 12.2 MPG???? I was expecting maybe 14-16, but 12?
do you still have that car
@fanowner12 Wood Trim has always, and still is an Option, even on the top of the line trims.
A limited with no remote lock/unlock??
@moparsrock Thanks man !
