You've already gotten me hooked on grid journaling, and I thank you. I took your first free class last spring and have been gridding ever since. It is so much fun. And also let me say that rainbows and unicorns are great guides for my art too. -- Barbara Clark

Really appreciate your teaching style and taste in everything. What type of beautiful almost transparent paper did you use for your gelli plate stuff that you painted? Thank you!

Thanks for sharing your great info. You are such an inspiration. 1st let me tell you I am a newbie to everything ART! Yep, true! That said, can you tell me the purpose of making "marks" in the boxes then for the most part, those "marks" are covered up? I understand selecting a color palette and keeping that grid journal cohesive as it applies to the same look and feel. Is that composition?

First of all - thank you for your kind words! I am so glad you are enjoying this! Welcome Newbie!! You have quite the journey ahead! Mark making is quite a freeing and joyful beginning to any piece. It frees your creative juices, allows you to explore different shapes and compositions in each grid. It is a great tool to warm up with! Most of my pieces begins this way- sometimes it pokes through the paint or peeks from behind- sometimes it is simply a building block. Lesson two has more of this for you! Enjoy!

No... but please feel free to use whatever you have on hand! The point is to make the art, not what it is on really!!
