hot take. CUES shits all over every single 9/10/11 and 12 speed groupset to date. just on the compatibility front. let alone the price and durability front too.
You just bought the wrong product. Try the Microshift Advent 9 or 10 speed. Your chain will never fall off, shifting will be perfect and you'll have hundreds of dollars left over.
Yes! Microshift Advent X has been amazing for me. Shifting is smooth and has good gear range. I feel it shift better than some 12 speed I've ridden before.
i tried micoshift, when thign gets fast and janky the deailleur clutch doesn't keep up. you have to ajust the clutch so it's stiffen it and then it becomes sticky. Never had that many chain slap and dropped chains.
@@hpkiunzy Sounds like a setup error to me. I've been using them for years, never once a slap or dropped chain, and no shifting issues even with the clutch on with an oval ring. The clutch is much stronger than others, but it can wind itself up like a clock spring where it has no movement left. It happened a few years back to me. Think it was just a matter of resetting by switching it off, putting on smallest cog, cycle the gears, then put on small cog and switch back on.
@@sapinva set it up myself first and went to the bikeshop so they could set it up better than me, it happened to me where it winded up itself. I tried cycling it , turning the clutch on and it wouldn't work properly. Maybe I just had a faulty one or I damaged it.but I found the Shimano clutch to be smoother and less sticky than my advent x, perhaps it needed a maintenance.
I had a more or less perfectly tuned Box 9 setup for a while and liked it fairly well though it was on a bike I didn't want to jump much; plenty of technical terrain though. I thought Advent X shifted just a little nicer. I really want at least a 50 low and only ever tried the stock 48 Advent X. My Box 9 setup did lose its tune at some point I can't remember all that well. I might have hit it on something.
I bought the box one/two prime 9 set a couple years ago. The biggest thing I remember from the install was that I had a lot of difficulty dialing it in (I had the same problems with shifting that you had in the video). However, now that it has been working properly it shifts like a dream and makes very little noise.
9 is Fine! Love the BOX stuff! I started with Box 3 but it wore out too fast for use in Enduros and more aggressive riding. Went with box one derailleur and box 2 Cassette ,soo much better.
I go for 10 speed. 11-50t cassette from Aliexpress (VG Sports), M4100 shifter lever and M5100 derailleur, upgraded with bearing pulley wheels. Super reliable, inexpensive and very good performance. Box components is just way too expensive imo
id disagree, i much preferred my nine speed microshift to my current eagle nx. the reliability and price of the nine speed system (at least in my experience) beats 11 or 12 speed every time

Sram has always been cross compatible all across their range fyi

Sweet!! That’s what people have been telling me! This is great to know

Good to know! I’ll keep tinkering with it.
I literally have a prime 9 and a dh 7 speed setup and I almost didn’t have to do anything to dial them in it was weird
Yeah! 9 speed. Then add, double chainring, front deraillleur and a second shifter. Sorted. . Yippee! 😊❤
Clutched 2x is underappreciated
@@stuvademakaroner9607 That makes sense. The clutch. With x2. Thanks
@@davidcawthorne7115 that's what m4120/m5120 is. Works very well.
10speed with 50t is the best
For e-bike drivetrain, 9 speeds would be more than adequate as long as it’s built solid
I agree!

Gotcha! I know box makes good stuff, that is why I was so surprised.

That is awesome!
I had the same experience with the box drivetrain (higher end one too). Swapped to a shimano xt 11 speed and it was worlds better
That is good to know! I went into making this video with such high expectations 😂

I haven’t tried the Microshift yet! Heard good things about it. I’d be down to try that.
Try to use tracker instead of manual
With editing? If so, I did use tracker. Haha.
