I remember watching a documentary about this with the dad and this guy, I cannot fathom being as forgiving as his father. I don't care if you are my son, I'd never trust you or forgive you for killing the entire family when I worked so hard to provide you with a privileged lifestyle. I hope his dad is ok, I think he remarried but you can see the pain in his eyes during that docu.

You forget⊠forgiveness isnât just about the person that hurt or wronged you. Itâs also for yourself. If he didnât figure out how to forgive his son it would eat away at his soul and likely destroy his own life. Forgiveness can be so so hard. But itâs always the right choice. not true, some parents truly don't love their children, even since the moment of their birth
@Joe Blow I APOLOGIZE FOR BEING AN IDIOT. ONE LAST QUESTION, DOES THIS APPLY TO GEN Z OR PRETTY MUCH EVERY GENERATION
Yes, he's an amazing father.
Man, a father's love is strong, even after your son murders your wife and other children - he's still your son. It must've been very hard for the father to come to terms with tragedy, as well as the son's acceptance of his crimes and his father's love. Very powerful.
Not so fun fact like 70% of people on death row had a bad childhood
I wonder what the last minutes of life feels like. Do you reflect in everything within seconds. What do you feel?
I can tell you what my death experience was like. I recall nothing between when I went out to when they brought me back. No lights, no visions, no concept of any passage of time. It was like a blink of an eye. As for if they hadn't revived me, I can't tell you. I don't think anyone can.
@@wall-e3313 What about the hour before that? Did you think about your entire life? Did you torture yourself thinking about all of your regrets that you never forgot to alter? I am sorry if this upsets you, I am just really curious.
Probably depends on the person and their personality. The ones i am certain about are: Relief that it's finally over; the pain will finally be ending; If God is real after all, i hope he understands and forgives me; Doesn't matter that i did or didn't do XYZ - not anymore; anything that was real to me and truly matters has been shattered beyond repair; i would rather Live, but i was denied the choice of Life w/o Misery; just can't fight anymore, all out of anything to fight on with; Counseling is useless, even if it was available; God must Hate me, my Prayers never get answered and i just get hurt; and a few others similar. Now these Particulars are probably more accurate for people who choose death voluntarily, {Suicides, Doomed Missions, etc.}, but still apply - your own Mortality is irreversibly ending, and you have to face it head-on and deal with it.
@@wall-e3313 thatâs pretty strange⊠very cool that you would share that though
I imagine nobody can really say for sure, but I did once hear that there is some science behind the saying that your life flashes before your eyes before you die. At least according to what I read somewhere, it's because as you're dying, the last or one of the last parts of your conscious mind to shut down is the region associated with memory. Which in a way might be consoling or peaceful, but at the same time I wonder if it would be terrifying. I mean, if the last functional part of your brain is focused on memories, then does that mean that from your perspective, you'll be dying at a much younger age than you actually did with no recollection of future events? Or is that shift to memories not that overwhelming of reality.
Assuming, of course, I read and am remembering correctly, or not misinterpreting the information.

Somewhat similar to when Steven Truscott was waiting to hang in Canada in 1959-60, he was all alone in a county jail cell for about 4 months. Conditions were very much like what this guy experienced, one hour a day out doors, one shower a week, but no other prisoners in the jail most of the time. He wrote that the hours alone passed without him being able to remember what had even gone through his head most days. He got a commutation to life in prison but not at the last minute like this guy.
