Day Clear Retry Glitch - Lobotomy Corporation Glitch

  • This glitch restarts the day but still increases the day count.
    This can be performed by quickly retrying the day after proceeding to the next day, and then returning to the Main Menu. Once you do that upon loading the game you will have returned to the start of the day except the day count has increased.

    Very nice!
    I tried taking this bug to its logical conclusion - you can pass the day 46-49 ordeals, and see day 50 without doing the usual prerequisites. So, this is a vanilla glitch route for credits% without doing the Sephirah meltdowns or seeing all the abnormalities.
    While not possible in normal gameplay, by using the "standard checkmate" command, you can also "complete" day 50 as if it were a normal day. If you do this bug on day 50, you get to see a "day 51" outside of "challenge mode", although all you get is 안젤라 (Angela) saying "this is error" with A's letter saying the same in the background.
    It appears to be possible to do this ad infinitum by going back to the title screen after the "this is error" prompt - I stopped at day 53. Every day after 50 has the "Proving Oneself" Sephirah meltdown from day 46.

    if you can skip the final 5 days checks you should in theory be able to use this as speedrun tech, dunno how much time would get saved

      probably would just get banned, because then it would become completing day 1 as fast as possible 50 times in a row, or being lucky enough to get a fast, high energy abno in the first few days

      ​@@blueturbo47 Don't think so - pretty sure the WCCA/portrait/bunker trio is still allowed, and that effectively skips a quota of any size.
      This bug *does* bypass the day 46-49 checks, but not the gameplay - you'd still have to do the ordeals, and the energy quotas still increase. Folex is only able to skip the sephirah suppressions here through use of commands.
      So, this doesn't really save time within a single run - you still have to play every day, you just undo the facility changes after you clear them. But it does limit the number of runs you need to do overall for credits% (no sephirah meltdowns required besides the last days, and you don't need to see every abno).
      I think the bug has a lot of speedrun potential - employee deaths after the core meltdowns getting undone would be huge for a faster, more sacrificial, pause buffer-y playstyle.
