  • I got the new micro bungee system from angel wing designs. so i wanted to test it asap with one of my mini gliders. Its 7.5 metres of 4 mm elastic and 20 metres of braided line comes with a custom hand winder ground stake and retrieval ribbon.
You can use a transmitter neck strap if you find that helps.

Very interesting. Bungee launching small gliders on a summer evening is my favourite way to fly. I put the TX on a neckstrap, I use two hands on the glider, my left is on the fuselage and my right is on the wingtip. At the instant of launch, I take the TX in the right hand and then launch. I also have a small corkscrew stake, I've seen a few nasty moments with straight stakes.

Yes I have a dog screw gate for standard size bungee.. I am not a fan of neck straps as my father stumbled over and impaled the Ariel through his eye.

Nice video. I just bought a pug kit for Xmas, so have watched a few of your videos. Great stuff! thank you!
I do think you're a braver man than me, using a 'tent peg' anchor. Even on a light bungee I'd probably still want to use a dog stake or run it through a pulley. 😬

Thanks it’s a good point about bungee but the micro bungee is no bigger than an elastic band

Hello. Can you put one small brushless motor on this type of plane?! Instead of a bungee?!

yes mate but the hatch would need filling in. Personally i would add a lot of line to tow and keep the speed up :)

I'd get a larger metal tent stake. Scary

Yeah. I make mine out of a bag of rubber bands linked together and a wooden stake plus 50' of string. Costs about $10.

    Hi.
I am guessing the correct place for the hook to be placed is approximately a third back from the front leading edge of the wing, on the model!
    Is this correct please?
Also please, what do you use as the hook, on the model?
    Thanks for your help.

Hi mate I always look at 20 degrees angle from Cg forward I use a mini metal cup hook straighten
Or a small plastic cup hook using tape glue

Thats a mega big help. Thanks so much.
      DLG the easy way.
Looked on the site for the bungee, and have noticed they have done a upgraded one now.
A bit different to the one you reviewed. Have a look.
Getting a bit to old to spin like i used to! Ha ha.
      Thanks again, Keith.
