- I am BACK! I can't tell you all how happy I am to get back out there. Thankfully, we had a relatively mild winter here in MI. While I wait for things to grow - I'm taking on the most neglected properties this city has to offer. This particular one is no joke! I removed a massive amount of debris from this property and couldn't be more thrilled with the end result. Thank you all so much for your love and support. I can't thank you enough!

I think you were very considerate to respect the lady's request to not rule up her dogs by avoiding the fence line. If she cared about your clean-up job, I think she could've managed her dogs so you could thoroughly complete the job.

After I watched this video u inspired me to tackle a block right outside my neighborhood which was filled with trash on the parkway, front apt building yards and street gutters. It hadn't been cleaned in at least a year. It took me a couple of days and it was back breaking work, but I did it! I felt so good seeing it clean.
Hey Looky here we have a living specimen of A "Stockman" in his native habitat !!! Stockmen are a hearty strong species, suited to survive the nastiest Michigan winters.
Let's see what kind of mischief he gets himself into today. The Stockman is BACK !!! And the Stockman succeeds in his latest habitat clean up. Well Done !!

Clearing out brush and downed limbs is one of the most tiring, thankless jobs in a yard. I know, I've done it. That lot looks so much better. Thank you for cleaning it up.
Somebody is gonna be mad. The woman with the dogs. Does she own the property you are working on? If so, why doesn't she maintain it? Who does she think she is? I realize you did a lot to that properly. She would lose a place to throw her dog poop if you were allowed to finish the job. Talk to the other neighbors. She is not reasonable at all. The dogs can be brought inside while you are working. Prime example of a KAREN. Great work Sir.

I know right? 🤷♀️ I don"t think she was kidding. It's not her property so she shouldn't have said anything. Imagine if someone built a house there? How would she manage? 😂
FINALLY! Someone with enough brains to utilize a weed eater to clear away the initial heavy overgrowth on sidewalks and curbs, instead of destroying their edger by requiring it to attempt to cut masses of grass and dirt that it was never designed to do. This followed by the backbreaking effort with a shovel to rip up all of the sod that the edger was unable to handle, and consuming an inordinate portion of their video length. This allows more video time for trash removal, weed eating, fence cleaning, bush trimming, mowing and the myriad of other functions necessary to accomplish a true transformation that is a pleasure to watch. Glad to see that Sean figured it out.
I appreciate this comment. I am balancing being as efficient as I can - but also have you all in mind as well. If you’re committing to being here and watching - I’m committing to making it as interesting as possible for you all!
Not to mention being the grassy equivalent of watching paint dry!
I have noticed that there are a few "lawn dudes" who seem dedicated to making the neatest edges possible for 600 yards of neighbourhood but dont seem as bothered when it comes to making sure the grass is cut nicely. Nor do they pick up trash, rake or trim hedges etc.
Glad Sean is way more committed to doing a proper job.
Its a pleasure to watch him doing his sections and seeing each bit transformed, from picking up the garbage to fixing fences back up and completely clearing all the debris away.

I got a little electric chain saw like that for around $40 on Amazon and it’s an amazing tool! I’ve been working on my yard this spring and I’ve cut down a lot of vines and large saplings with it.

Good to see you back on CZcams! Good idea to clean up properties like this one waiting for things to green up. These properties need cleaned up as much as overgrown grass! Too bad the neighbor on left wouldn’t let you clean the whole lot, her side needed it, hope she doesn’t regret it! My heart warmed when you gave John the money you had been given. We didn’t need to hear the conversation, the hug told the story. Such a wonderful gift for him, happen to walk by at that time?, what are the chances?….God’s hands were all over that timing! 🙏
Love watching you work. I like how you clean up, get the trash, clippings, etc and remove from the properties that you do. That sets you apart from others.

I think a wood chipper for your tool collection is a must. Chips are easier to load in the truck and you can give it away to neighbors for gardens as weed abatement.

There are 2 vacant lots in my neighborhood. In that we are not lazy, everyone pitches in to keep them mowed and clean.

Welcome back Midlife and a great transformation! Because you’re doing this for free and the groomer gets paid, I would think that she’d keep the dogs inside for about an hour. It’s being respectful of your time, as well. Unless I misunderstood and she asked you to stay away from the fence while the dogs were outside temporarily. To end my comment on a good point: It was nice a neighbor gave you something for your time. So if the groomer gave you something, then forget what I wrote about him/her above 😂

Do you ever contact the property owner or the city before you do the work or after. Trail camera would be helpful to catch illegal dumpers.
Being from Maine we take this seriously! Cops have worked on cases for a considerable amount of time to catch people. We don't even allow bill boards because they are considered pollution. Bottles and can of beverages cost much more because you pay a deposit on everyone. Kids and some adults make money picking them up and returning them. You should look into a portable burn barrel. Use some sort of plant caddy made of steel with all terrain tires connected to a hinge connected to a metal barrel with a metal handle. Anyway I love seeing you clean up all the areas around your home.

So happy you're back to posting videos! This was another great cleanup - especially that sidewalk! I saw that uneven edge near the property line with the dog groomer lady, and that is much safer now that it can be seen and avoided.
Too bad she didn't want you near the property line where the dogs were - that had a lot of brush back there!
