    I'm not gonna lie...you showed this planner on IG when you got it and I immediately ordered it based on the houseplants 🪴 (quarantine addiction of plants here) and just hoped I'd like it...hahah! But, I really love it! It has everything I need at this point (and things I didn't even know I needed!).

    Again, I have no kids but I LOVE planner videos so I’m fascinated by watching you plan for a school year.

    love this so much!!! I have one kiddo but I really could be student #2. I need to work on consistent habits for myself.

    Thanks! Great video...just like the rest. I LOVE how organised you are and that you have such great knowledge of curriculums. Every home educator I know, seems to be a, anti curriculum, anti stuff, unschooler (which is fine if that works for them) but it is so lovely to see someone else excited by planning! So glad to have found your channel and thanks for introducing me to OneNote!

      Oh, I do love curriculum 🤣. So glad it was helpful for you, we can band together over our love of planning and curriculum!

    I’m 100% a planner mom. I used the Mardel last year but this year I “created” my own on excel as I needed more boxes! I also pull out my weekly Bookshark pages and have a working binder too! I might need a flex binder like you have though!!!

    I’m using the A Simple Plan planner this year and I used it last year. Absolutely love it!!!

    I'm in Colorado as well and using Mardel's planner too! Thanks for reminding me to sign my kids up for our local enrichment program.

    I also love curriculum videos, lol. We just began our homeschool journey last year and loved seeing how your organized your Sonlight binder. Thanks for all the tips!

    This was SO helpful. I am using a simple plan planner also and sonlight for core and AAR also so it’s nice to get a visual of how you’re laying it out. Thank you!

    Your so organized. Great video

    When mom is excited (even just because of planning) everyone else gets on board too! I use a Blue Sky Teacher Lesson Plan book. I just found it as a review on The Waldock Way’s channel from a couple years ago. Its simple and has 9 columns for subjects. 😊❤️

      I’ve never heard of Blue Sky Teacher Lesson book - I will have to look it up!

      @@sciencemama Here is the flip through of it. I like it because it has the month layout followed by the weekly plan pages and its super simple. And on prime day it was on sale for $12! Can’t beat that!

    I think I'll get that planner for next year! Thank you for the flip through, it was very helpful. I did something similar in excel and then printed it out for this year.

    I will say this was inspirational! Lol I tend to be a mess so my goal is to really get more organized with life in general.

    I have never been good about paper planners. I get all excited about them at first and then fall off every time. So I think if we end up homeschooling this year (which we are leaning towards with delta variant spreading fast), I might look into Trello to do planning online.

    Thank you for this video! I also use Sonlight and been using their binder but your idea seems wonderful, thank you for sharing! Ask I ordered an other planner but after listening to you talk about Mardel one, it looks like that’s the one I need:)

    I LOVE my planners. I have multiple planners like you do. Doesn’t everyone?! 😉 did you do a video of how you organize the kids worksheets and pages for each week? I would love to see some ideas for that. I will be combining Abeka K5 with sonlight k language arts and there are quite a few worksheets to organize.

    • @sciencemama
      @sciencemama  Před 2 lety +1

      I never ended up making a video about that ... I just have 4 folders each labeled (M, T, W, Th) and put all the daily worksheets in those!

    • @GenJenandJuice
      @GenJenandJuice Před 2 lety

      @@sciencemama ok thanks! That’s what I am planning to do too. Do you just pull them from the books/binders at the beginning of each week for the daily folders? ❤️ thanks again! Love your videos and it’s so helpful to have found a family that is doing thing so similarly

    Maybe this is answered in another video I've missed... but what does your math schedule look like with Singapore Math Live? It looks like it'll be a big jump in the amount of math we're doing once we start in January. Trying to figure out how to schedule in the SML schedule and prevent too much fatigue.

    • @sciencemama
      @sciencemama  Před 3 lety

      Hi! Honestly, I'm still working it out ... currently I make sure we get the textbook and workbook done each day and then most days I add either the intensive practice or challenging word problems or mental math exercises! I agree, it is a lot ... I just kind of gauge where my kids are!
