Very informative video, ty! Biggest thing that needs to be address is the homelessness, which is similar to us here in Silicon Valley. Seattle has always been a beautiful city with friendly people that care about their communities, which keeps me wanting to go back there in the near future. Used to live by Capitol Hill (went to school at Seattle University) but have always loved the homes by Lake Washington...So thank you for this video :)
Hi @CyclingxVentures - Thanks for your kind words. It's truly unfortunate how some of these cities have chosen to address (or not address) the homeless situation. Seattle has turned a blind eye to the drug problems and is giving out free needles for safe shoot-up zones. There are tents with homeless residents in parks, along the freeways and lots of graffiti. I do believe that our new mayor has set his sites in improving the situation, but there's a lot of work to do. Hopefully as workers start spending more time in downtown (after emptying out the city core during covid), we will start to see a healthier dynamic on the streets.
I live in the thick of a vast sea of arrogance believing token handouts miraculously solved something besides building a taller mound of stinking arrogant crap.;-]
Years of getting zero respect or response from any city hall reveals 'their' errors cannot save them from themselves mu😊ch less learn to respect this living breathing planet which brought us here.
Seattle is a complete mess and you kind of brush over it. I lived there for many years and it is nothing like it used to be to be. Lawlessness, rampant drug use, an enormous homeless problem. Remember the defund the police movement that many in Seattle supported? It did so much damage to the city.
Yes - that's true. There have been some bad times in Seattle recently. My mom's favorite starbucks location (that even had a clover machine) recently got closed as well. Condo owners in downtown Seattle are having a hard time because so much inventory has been built (we had TONS of cranes here pre-COVID) and now more people are working from home and not wanting to live in the city. I just made a new video Capitol Hill where I addressed some of the political activisim like CHAZ, fires and the WTO riots, etc. I'm hoping things will get better now that we have a new mayor. The pendulum has to swing the other way at some point!
@Reverend11-dmeow89 - Thank you for your comments. I can't say I love our politicians, but I am hopeful they will try to make the city better. We'll have to see what they do - the proof is in the pudding!

@Reverend11-dmeow89 - I agree they're not necessarily in it for the planet. Helping the people and businesses in the city would be great progress!

Mayor Harrell is a booster post for greed.
