Chu, Nasi Dagang is a mixture of long grain rice, a little bit of glutinous rice, brown rice and mix thorughly with coconut milk and steamed with fanugreek seed, a liltle bit of slice onion and young ginger.
The fanugreek seed has distinct aroma to the nasi dagang..enjoy!

There are 2 type of nasi dagang. The one you eat in the video, white glossy stick-ish rice and 2nd type is using purple sticky (?) rice. Both type is delicious and enjoy with same gulai ikan tongkol.

I used to work at a restaurant which was next to one of the branches of the Nasi Dagang Atas Tol (Keropok Lekor Pozi if someone knew), and before closing (NDAT), they always gave free meals including teh tarik ais madu. Trust me, the foam won't run out even if it's been for hours 😂
And one of their other brances just a few meters from my house. Believe me, it's always crowded every single days 😂

If you're still in Terengganu, I recommend you to try a famous Celup Tepung at Pok Nong Celup Tepung located at Pantai Mengabang Telipot (if I'm not mistaken).
But don't be surprise with the super long queue!
Pok Nong Celup Tepung advantages other than Celup Tepung is :
✅ Very fresh sea food
✅ Very crunchy flour(?) (sorry I forgot the word 😅)
✅ Atmosphere is nice (shop is just near beach)
✅ Reasonable price
I studied in terengganu for two years. ikan tongkol there is so delicious compared to the northern side's of malaysia. Some said that it is due to the sea there being deeper than the northern side of msia. So, the fish's flesh is sweeter.

the white rice u eat is nasi minyak means oil rice(with flavoured and oil thatwhy glossy) and its basmathi rice very long type also quite expensive rice. the yellow rice is Nasi pulut Kunyit ( Turmeric Glutinous Rice). I always went there whenever I visit Pulau Redang.

Hello Chu Bro. U eat like an real Malaysian. Usually, foreigners tend to eat without mixing the kuah and rice. They will eat it by adding the kuah bit by bit. However, Malaysians will eat the Nasi Dagang and Kuah Gulai by mixing them together, and that's how you should eat them.
I really enjoy seeing u eat delicious food. I can't eat these delicious food for a while as I just had stomach surgery. All the best to you and stay safe.

Pulut gaul nyior is sticky rice mixed with grated coconut..then eaten with steamed fish or dried fish.
Best eaten when it rains in the morning and it's cold outside.

nasi dagang n pulut kuning you have both are steam rice pulut(glutinous rice) + coconut milk
you should add the kuah gulai (gravy) n add together
and for nasi dagang add acar n small chili
that complete the taste n goes for another levelnof cox 😂

Terengganu mostly use "ikan"=fish for their dish because terengganu located near to beach and easy to get fish,since ling time ago.thats why since long time ago terengganu mostly use fish because its cheap and easy to get instead of chicken. so since long time ago our ancestors use fish for our dish thats why the tradition is maintained until now
Nasi Kerabu go to Kelantan , Nasi Dagang go to Terengganu and Pahang I think it's Tempoyak .
