- Grandmaster Yasser Seirawan walks us through a riveting game between Levon Aronian and Alexander Grischuk. With how many active pieces are left at the end it's hard to believe that the game ends in a draw.

Levon Aronian vs Alexander Grischuk, World Championship Candidates (2018): D70 Indian Game: Anti-Grünfeld. Alekhine Variation

Can we petition to get Yasser to read chess books for publishing as audio books? Or just audio books in general? May be his second calling.
Yasser is like the bob ross of chess, moving his happy little pieces around.
In another lecture he goes to every piece and ask how r u doing ?

Уважаемый господин гроссмейстер Сейраван!
Я хочу обратить ваше внимание на одно русскоязычное видео, в котором по моему мнению нарушаются ваши авторские права. Речь идет о видеоролике czcams.com/video/qFjUQ9EhnT0/video.html .
Yasser is by far the best Resident GM that lectures at CCSCSL! I watch every one of his lectures. I just hope we get to see more of him in future! Thank you, Yasser!
Him and Akobian are excellent.
I don't see it as gay. Just very polite and considerate.
Some criticize GM Seirawan as being condescending with regard to his lecture style. I appreciate his efforts to keep things simple and his lack of foreign accent, which this Southernor greatly appreciates. Trying to "translate" a thick European accent into English is a laborious process for a Texan.
@@LarryRickenbacker - laborious process hearing foreign accent... Suspicious chess player. (GM Finegold). PS: Yasser is the best
The loveliest man in chess. A true gentleman.
I really like the lectures of Yasser, Ben and Jonathan
More Yasser videos ... we want more, we need more!!!
17:40 Ooooooo #More yasser
that voice killed me
Man I love listening to Yasser chess vids. Thanks Yasser!!!
Oh man, I started remembering this game from Qd8. What a heartbreaker for Levon.
Great lecture Yasser! thanks ccscsl!!
plz adjust vol is low
Don't listen on a phone, and it's fine.

Any chance you can move the St Louis Chess Club logo to the bottom left of the screen? The bottom right puts it directly over the H1 square. It fits perfectly and unfortunately looks like a piece is on it which makes it distracting. Great lecture though!
I really enjoy the video. However, recent videos volume are very low.
Yasser is a national treasure
Oh boy oh boy! Long time I haven't been here!
15:25 Bxf4 was the winning move for Levon. The fact he felt it wasn't the right one, just proves that he wasn't at his best.
please make videos on CARO KANN Nd7. ....C5 in the advanced and best way for black to continue in the Panov botvinnik and exchange
such a magnanimous smile :)
@ 22:22, when you asked what white's move is... I also found Rxg4, pxg4; but then, Bd3+! and black's queen is doomed ...Kg8, Bc4! The knight cannot block because the rook supports. Sorry I just like it more!
Your teaching is very good and Gm Ben And GM Jonathan are best coaches of ur club.
GM Akobian is also very cool
At 4:00, the caption says, "World Chess Canidates", which should be Candidates. Just wanted to put that out there.
Try again? Candidates.
Never play the Benoni.. got it
lol
Miles I’m alway like I’m gonna play the king’s Indian defense...and then I say fuck it and play 2...c5. 😂
Epic swindle by Grischuk! Whilst the final position was drawish, Grischuk dodged at least 2 winning moves earlier on. Aronian would have had a won position by queenside castling (0-0-0!!) or winning Grischuk's light bishop (Qxc8+!!).
Wanted to hear him bring out the *bamboo* stick
Interesting 😀😀😀
That position is even!?!?! I knew there was something squirrely about a Saemisch that transposes into a Benoni!
Wild tactics! They should have kept playing with 18 pieces on the board regardless the even evaluation by the engine, in my ultra-humble opinion.
i think they were tired^^ playing this game must be hard on your brain

Who is in the photograph behind Mr. Seirawan ?
I'm pretty sure it's Renze Rietveld when he still had hair
Play like a pro, offer a draw :v
h4- putting it in h (c being the explosive file on the 4th rank)
Not QxN, Bd3+ mates shortly -- wins Q
I want to meet 2 people sp badly. Lin Manuel Miranda and Yasser!
First comment and guess what who is the teacher today....
Was this a blitz game? I just don’t see how a GM of Aronian’s caliber misses moves like Qxc8 and Rxg4....
Yasser are you growing younger?
Thomas Zachar a2 a3 prima bianco aggiornatevi
Grazie
I don't know what Yasser was talking about, Kramnik clearly won the candidates.
2:36 thank me later
Oh come on! Yasser says he's so used to ChessBase, but when he finally copies the game from chessgames.com into his ChessBase, he still doesn't know how to draw arrows and he ends up just opening the context menu instead! But was there nobody in the class to tell him how? Ben Simon, help!
Damn, these days Yasser Seirawan looking more like Yasser AraFAT.
I kid, I kid.
I love your stories, but your maths is way off :D
Nils Petras your grammar is way off! "maths"? Lol
Maths is fine for people that speak English, not American.
John Hobbes your is correct? What do you mean?
kelly, you may at least want to Google something before you accuse someone of bad grammar. Maths is a valid word and is commonly used in "internet speak."
@@kellybrown6988 Maths is what we in England, the birth place of the English language use. and have used for centuries before your country even existed. Come to think of it I have a chair older than your country. Only lazy Americans use 'math', or should i say, incorrect English.
