@Ryan Kenaley There is no such thing as "Low skilled/unskilled" labour. Any person exchanging their time for labour should be compensated a livable wage by their employer, that being said though I concur that $20 an hour is fair in the state of Kentucky. Though his hours are unreasonable.

Well these trades never really left to be honest. There have been many long-operating expansive amusement and theme parks worldwide that require maintenance and upkeep so there was always the need. The only difference is in perception as more people get curious about things they wouldn't have usually known otherwise in highly specialized industries. And that curiosity combined with the ease of internet searching has trusted a lot of once-behind-the-curtain-professions into the public light (Most notably are Disney "Imagineers" as they are so called have become pseudo celebrities in theme park circles, like Tony Baxter or Joe Rhodey for example)

People have no idea how much skill trades every year. Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters, construction managers, Radiation therapists, Aviation technicians and many others pay very well without a college degree. Just a HS education and some time in a trades school or an apprenticeship programme.
