Nice bike! Great video, Thank you =)
I like very much how you did this whole video. Especially that you included the phone call about getting a gasket...I suspect we are all often in that position...:)
Awesome job. I think I have the same issue with my Versys. Going to fix it this weekend.
Thank you bro for sharing knowledge, i'm facing the same problem as you and gonna use your video as my refferance... have a nice day
You are a genius
Настоящий байкер, даже ремонтирует Мот в каске))), у меня версус,тоже генератор менять надо,полезное видео!!!
Thank you so much for the video! This will go along way for new motorcycle riders like myself.
Currently my bike isn’t getting spark and I’m thinking about replacing this so it’s a good video
thank you for your video ^ ^
Best vid.
nice vidio .... thanks
Eyah. Good job ..
The parts store Never has the part.... 😂.
great video man, quick question there wasn’t a specific torque pattern for the cover bolts was there?
How do you know it was broken, it didn't look that bad. I am asking because I have charging problems in my Kawasaki ZX6R 2009.
Thanx for the video! I’m doing the same job now and also no gasket😄
Opinion on after market stators?
safety first
Thank you for the video! Did you buy the official stator from Kawasaki? It's very expensive (more than 400€) if we compare with adaptable (less than 200€)
@@rbon2wheels Ah?! If you remember the website where you bought it, i'm interested 😁

@@rbon2wheels thanks! (They have only adaptable stator for my bike but thank you!)
Hi , how much the starter coil costs and from where you bought this? I am also facing issue on my 2013 Ninja 650
Did you find a solution my bike is exactly same year and model it may have the same issue.
I have a 2009 ninja 650r that keeps burning my starting rely and my rectifier started throwing smoke and got burnt should I just replace rectifier or stator too
I should say change the stator 1st and see what the rectifier does the job of a rectifier is to convert AC into DC and also regulates how much current is send to the battery 🔋
hello my friend, recently i had a crash with my er6n(basically same motor) unfortunatelly and the generator engine cap got a small tear and there is oil leakage,i ordered a new cap and want to install it,so i *have* to order a new gasket right?if i use the old one there will be oil leakage?also do i need to put gasket glue as well?
You need a new gasket, the old one will not work and u will get leaks and i didn't use gasket seal but if u want,u can use it.
Not true I have old gasket still on my bike 1 year now still no leaks as long as it comes off in one piece, you can see on my video my friend,
I am trying to test the stator coil... but having a hard time to pull out the stator cable connector >.< Any trick? Hurt my finger and nail damn
hey man, how many kilometers do you on your bike? Mine is 2013 and has 54K miles. What problems were you experiencing that caused the stator to go bad? My bike died on me while riding on the highway on my way home. At first I noticed my battery light came then a few minutes later, the bike stop running. My bike has the original battery, so i'm not sure if the batttey is bad or the stator. I appreciate your help.
I have 35k,the problem i was getting was ,my battery was being drained so fast and the charging sytem was not working. The only to know that u need to replace the stater is when u get the battery indicator light on and also u can do a test by using a multimeter. When u connect that multimeter and rev the bike to up 5krpm u should get a voltage reading of 14.5 and if u don't get that, that means you battery is not being charged and that could be a bad stater or rectifer but most times its the stater because its the one which provide current(AC) to the rectifier to be converted into DC in order to charge the battery. Hope this helps.
Since your bike died while riding and the battery light popped on,u should 1st charge the battery and make sure its about 12 or 13 volts then use a multimeter and turn the bike to on position but don't start it, u will a drop in voltage not below 12 volts if it goes below 12 volts, that means your battery is dead and u need a new one but if it does drop below 12 volts now u got to step 2,which rev the bike 5k rpm while the multimeter is still connected to the battery and if u don't get 14 volts, that means you charging system is not doing its job.
@@rbon2wheels hey man, thanks for the quick reply. I will do some tests based on your suggestions. I love my Ninja 650 and its been reliable since day 1. Ride safe bro!
@@rbon2wheels hey man, I have the parts and ready to install my new stator. what is the trick on taking the cover off? I guess the gasket created a seal and it's hard to pry it out.
Really guys tutorials motorcyle
Was it necessary to drain oil for this?
no,you can lean it on the other side with something soft underneath(pillows, air matress,whatever....)and lose 0 oil
I’m trying to replace my battery for the first time on my Ninja. Any tips?
Replacing the battery is easy fellow the steps below.
DISCONECTING BATTERY.
1. Take off both rider and passenger seat.
2.Take of the bracket that holds the battery
4. Disconnect the NEGATIVE port and make sure it doesn't touch in metal
5. Disconnect the POSITIVE port and then pull out the battery.
PUTTING BATTERY BACK.
1. Connect the POSITIVE port
2. Connect the NEGATIVE port.
3. Put back the bracket
4. Put back the seats.
Good luck
If that goes out while driving can that cause my bike to die while driving?
Wearing a full face while doing maintainance? That's so silly haha
Too bad we can't hear you cuz of the background music.
Man help me..
My bike having 6-7rpm starts changing idle
Yes..theres something wrong..
When i rev it and the rpm goes to 6-7
It goes down.. I cant run to 100speed..
Only 50 or 60 because of that. Do you think what is the problem?
Oh wow I guess this is a common problem with the 650 then I’m having the same thing with my 2013 ninja 650
@@ynabhrodiger6343 ok. 1st do u have the original exhaust on and do u have a power commander? If yes,did u flash the bike after u installed it? And if u have after market exhaust +power commander ,u have to flash the bike or u will lose power like u doing now
Clarify tutorial OK
Thank you so much for this video! My 2011 Ninja 650R (ER-6f) burns its stator every year. I've replaced the rectifier twice to no effect. I've found an aftermarket stator and will replace it myself.
