That final glance at the hearse when Jax closed the door. The glimmer in his eye, unbridled rage under the surface. He unleashed hell on earth from that point on.
ZooMdOuT I admit that I cried first time ever watching a TV serie with this scene, it's really hard, but at least you know that is not the end :( Pd: long live the king
Jax finally realizing his dad did what he did to not have his sons follow in his footsteps. Which exactly what Jax does. Although Jax actually succeeds. Nero and his ex are already on the way to his ranch in Norco cali. They'll never know that life. Beautiful fucking show. Everyone was so pissed off that he died. The dude was wanted. He didn't want his family to be involved anymore. Tied up ends. It was the only way. And that smile he give as soon as he sees the marker of the same highway/area JT died on, he lets out a quaint smile. As if, he is almost at peace... Finally. Tera and JT and opie waiting for him on the other side.
IMO this is where Jax went south. From this point on he spent so much time going after revenge for different things that he could never move the club where he wanted it.
+Lori Hackney jax drove the club exaxtly at the spot he wanted: no drug trafficing (he gave that to marilyn manson), no guns (he gave this to the mayans), no clay+gemma and corruption.... and no jax for the sake of his children. it was opie's death the event that ended even his smallest doubts about waht he was suposed to do with all this shit....
When I saw the pain in the eyes of Jax , I understand the pain that it feels to lose and your best friend ... rest in peace ... Opie you never die in our hearts
this made me want to cry so much, when jax showed the picture of him and opie as kids i felt like bursting, has to be the saddest moment in a tv show iv ever watched
Has anyone noticed that this event signified the change in Jax? Well obviously a lot of people have, but I think it's brilliant fitting this song is right down to the lyrics themselves. "I will not let my future go on, without the help of my soul." Towards the end that lyric is sung and Jax looks at Tara, symbolizing that Opie and Tara were keeping Jax morally sound, and season 7 shows this quite well
I'm just realizing that. He was even ready to go to jail for her, he was still sound then. And then she died. I feel like whe she died he wanted to die to, the only thing keeping him alive was revenge, once he got it he was go to go in peace. He said that opine was looking for a way out since Donna died, maybe Jax was the same cause he endured the mayhem vote went through, he didn't need to do that, he could've lied.
Definetly broke jax his next step was revenge anger rage everything he felt the day he witnessed opie death I could not of imagined it going any other way song fitted perfect saddest part was ope wanted out so did jax in the end there is no getting out xx
cant argue with clay’s role in this scene, he knew damn well he wasnt welcomed by majority the others in samcro & also that opie was in that casket because he ordered that hit that actually took out donna instead of him and also murdered his own father, he paid his respects from a short distance because he knew it was the right thing to do
at 4:08, jax looks at Tera and then looks at his club as if he is the one saying goodbye. He then shuts the door and the viewer realizes that it wasn't just Opie who passed...but VP jax teller. such a great show.
The love and respect for Opie from their brothers is genuinely heart touchable and the words from Jax to him see u later brodr it's just break down my heart ...
Hands down the best funeral/ wake whatever you want to call it,I've ever seen done on television.I felt like I was there and that I lost a best friend.Very very well done!
Oh best show ever.i though breaking bad.was good .I was invested in characters..oh when this happened I layed in bed. ..this made me cry cry hard..fukng sad.
This is the only 'TV funeral' that can bring a tear to my eye no matter how many times i watch it. The way this was done was perfection, the respect shown by the characters, as well as the look of pain and sadness etched across those who were, considered i supposed, enemies (Clay) in a way and shows what the loss of someone respected can do to everyone, no matter what the relationship was like at the time. Then we come to the song, well what can be said about this other than it was the most perfect fit for this scene and the words go so beautifully that its like it was wrote for this. Well done for all involved in this, as this shows how funerals should be represented within shows.
Well, 4 years after this comment was made, and the words still stand. Not once has a TV show, even, came close to this in terms of paying respect to an outgoing character. Still brings tears to my eyes watching it now.
What a lovely song. I'm so in love with it. Great story written by Kurt sutter. I've never fallen so in love with a show than sons of anarchy. I love it. Absolutely my favorite show. Great job Kurt Sutter.
Alright its time to confess cause I think it's extremely funny. When they stood up when jax entered the room I actually stood up as well without realising. It wasn't until the episode ended that I realized that I was standing with tears down my eyes. Never has a show done that to me
Not ashamed to admit this makes me bawl my eyes out. Only started watching soa a month ago and I'm just finished season 5. One of my favourite tv shows ever
It’s never a goodbye. I love “I’ll see you later”. Same I said to my friends who passed. And anytime I want to cry like a child I watch this because this hits home! Such an amazing show n this is true feelings
i had fully prepared myself for opines death but i had no idea this was coming and was not prepared and cried for 5 days because it genuinely made me remember my dear friend who sadly was beaten to death x
What truly sucks about this story line is it had to happen. The only way Jac could ever become the living embodiment of the man of Mayhem was to lose his moral compass. Opies last words "I got this" jaxs last words "I got this"
Wrong it was, "I love you dad". "I got this" were Jax words before he killed prison guard.
no He is saying chibs * I got This *
Correction. Jax last words to Chibs after happy was shot instead was "I got this", got on his dad's bike and set off. Last words: I love you dad. "

Jax's heart was forever damaged when Opie died and then what was left of it was obliterated when Tara died. Those two deaths did it.
The saddest part is seeing everyone together knowing by the end it's all different.
