You probably won't read this, but you're giving me hope. My wife, who I love and adore, is terminal, and I struggle underneath it all with considering and contemplating a future. I never talk to her about it because it's a tough one to raise. She feels guilt. She's a selfless warrior. Just just don't know where I'm going. I discovered your vids about a week ago and have been binging. This feels right to me to take off for awhile and do my thing travelling Australia with our dog later .... after.. I've seen your personal struggles and get why you're there. Thank you for hope.

I live in northern Arizona, remember the climate hot/cold here in the southwest is all about the elevation. Flagstaff at 7,000 feet cool, Phoenix at 1,000 feet hot. So if you're to hot or cold go up or down. I'm at 4400 feet in AZ so more moderate temps. Great video, Loved the lighting, Utah is so Beautiful...

Yuck. Even if they used all fresh water I'm not sure car wash soap is something I'd really want to shower in.

Arches...one of my favorite parks. My son and I hiked to delicate arch summer of 2018. Wonderful memories. Can't wait to get back.
Those rocks were sooo cool, especially the one's that were sitting on top of other rocks that looks like they would fall.

Those Salt Flats looked fun to drive on. I lived in my Toyota Sequoia but recently purchased a truck camper.....seeing this makes me want to go back to the SUV!
I never got to check out the Salt Flats but in 1975 I swam in the Great Salt Lake. You had to walk out probably a half mile from shore before it was over your head. You didn't need to swim to say afloat, if you sat like you were in a chair, and just paddled a little to maintain your balance, you would float with the water level about the middle of your chest. It really burned when you got it in your eyes. When you get out there are water tanks set up along the shore to take a shower to rinse the salt off.

I lived in Utah for 4 years many years ago. It is a very beautiful place. But winters suck.so I came back to Florida. Enjoy those views. Be safe.
It's snows in NM and the temps don't get really high in the summer especially in the mountains. If you love the outdoors and hot springs check out NM.

Wow. You are hitting all my old favorites. Arches was a fantastic place, but it appears from your videos that there has been some commercial development and better roads put in since I was there.
I used to hike up to the north end of Arches, an area called Eagle Park. (? - I recalled the whole place being "Arches National Monument", but it's essentially like a national park. ) In those days Eagle Park was just an area way out beyond all roads except a few 4WD tracks the rangers used, and way beyond the maintained trails, or even the cairn (small rock piles) marked trails, which ended at Darl Angel. That's a natural rock spire that looks like a human figure wearing a hooded robe. Out beyond that several miles are sandstone fins. These are created by earthquakes fracturing the sandstone then thrusting them up. Weather takes care of the rest, rounding off these parallel walls of sandstone and depositing sand between them, creating "paths" between them. The fins are about 150 to 300 feet high, 2 to 3+ yards thick at their base, and the paths between them are about 1 or 2 yards wide. Amazing feeling walking among them. Given enough time, weathering might shape them into natural arches.
I loved Arches. It was like walking among and upon the bones of the Earth.
