I lived in Stafford for a time in the mid 1970's and it had been a really vibrant place. Sorry to see the decline but this is how much of the UK looks now.
I live in stafford it's not a ghost town yet but it's definitely in decline has been for years now if you visit the new parts of it by the m&S its still busy, the old parts are not tho it's definitely deserted there all the small shops have been abandoned what's left are the big chains aldi Asda m&S Tesco lidl the small shops alive are outside the town. Ps if u want to see a real ghost town go to Cannock

Same with me. I worked at Argos in 2011-12 Christmas season. I used to commute from Stoke-on-Trent. Things were nice back then!

Stafford Town centre is in decline but riverside is nice and the retail parks are too
