- We headed to Hull for the first Saturday of 2024 and to the area known as the 'Old Town' where we visited a brilliant selection of pubs... 18 in total!

Done the Black Boy, George with the little window and the Old White Hart. Nice to see Hull getting some good PR. It is a an ancient and proud place and does not deserve the derision that it usually gets.
Came to Hull on a night out 43 years ago, met and married a local lass and never thought of leaving the area. Some phenomenal pubs existed over the years.
Thanks for coming to hull and giving us a proper review not like the crap you see in the papers or Channel 4, people please come to hull for a night out it’s brilliant you will not be disappointed 🍻

Full off crap here mate hull is ruined. Its a shame because could be nice, but unfortunately not. Take a look around the streets we are going backwards full off pools down every street. It's really is fucked hull

My Dad used to say there is/was a tunnel from the Black Boy to the river Hull from the old days of smuggling. Glad you found the Old White Hart too 👍

We are back in Hull on Saturday. Visit several times a year. Have to agree the old town pubs are amazing!

Hull gets a bad rap but it's a great place, you've missed out the Marina Area Humber Street and the great food in Minerva also Scale Lane which has five pubs in 200 yards. We are blessed in Hull with all our historic pubs and considering what we lost in WW2 so many remain.Get your self back quickly and we accept your apologies as Kingston Upon Hull is certainly no dump.

Haha, that's busy in a pub for just gone 430pm... (most places at that time haven't already got door staff on or a Karaoke/Disco getting going) - apparently its packed out all night usually? Great little place

Hull old town is tremendous. People there still know how to enjoy themselves and enjoy a chat.

Absolutely loved this video , I’m from Hull but moved away to Australia 17years ago , we always knew Hull was a banging City for drinking , got a bit of a lump in my throat reminiscing bout all the old quality boozers , next time I’m back gunna cover that area again , makes me homesick though ❤ sat in a hospital with my youngest daughter so that has cheered me up

Although Hull nightlife has better days its good to see its still a good night. Hopefully the pub culture will change and adapt into something new as its really the heart of British life

We always go with an open mind and try to look for the positives rather than the negatives of places mate! We loved Hull (and indeed Beverley that we did last weekend) and will definitely be back to see the rest very soon
Spent a lot of really great nights around the old town especially in summer on a Saturday afternoon onwards,, glad you enjoyed it , come back in summer then really experience hulls old town.
The Mission is a pub which sticks in my mind. I always use to enjoy having a pint 'in church'!

Memories, Ye Old White Hart, my first visit Ladies where not allowed in the bar. On entering the pub they had to turn left and sit in the room.

For you all hull is a shit hole and getting worst ever day , definitely to far gone to fix now, look at the pools there putting everywhere we are going backwards in this town. Anybody that says its nice is just covering it up and talking crap, surprisingly you didn't get mugged
The Old Town is beautiful and has some amazing pubs. Everyone was really friendly and we can't wait to come back... maybe you should go again with an open mind...
