I love anything to do with tri 5s or gassers in general.

Good job! I just recently did this on mine. I am just a regular guy in my home garage without lots of specialty tools or extra cash. It is a point of pride for me to do 100% of the work myself. I used the flanging tool like you. One thing I did differently was to radius the square corners of the patch panels fairly large arc so there would be less chance of warping when welding. I enjoy your videos and am encouraged watching you make progress. Let's swap notes as we build!

Thks . I don’t have a hot rod , 2012 T&C minivan -lol. I’m thinking of applying a smaller front lower arch panel that is available . (They must know this is rust spot ) I’ve never welded. Can i scarf it on top 3/4” , pop rivet it on ? ( possibly with some type of adhesive , then grind , fill and paint? My second option is to take the panel with me and visit body shops, I will ask them if they can put it on and I’ll finish it my self ? , … nice car !!

I'm not a body shop expert but I would recommend welding. Good luck.

Nice but why so close to the tire?

I was going to run slicks . They are smaller. I decided to go with 10inch radials. These have to be cut and moved if I do.

0:40 Do you think your wheel will never bounce up and hit the lip?

Check out the end of the video. I had more clearance once it was welded in . At 0.40 they were just getting fitted in. Plus my springs are stiff. I have seen alot of gassers with the same amount of clearance. I will find out soon enough I guess. Thanks for the question.

Thank you. So I thought I was going to be ok. My slicks fit nicely but I want to run a 275 60 15. I will be modifying these in the future.

I might be able to run 265 50 15 best.

There's always that guy that says ruined. So funny. 2 hours with a mig welder and she's all back to normal.
