As an Indian this makes me so happy! Brandon you were wondering how the food is so fresh and the meat is never dry. It's because most Indian curries are slowly cooked, there are a lot of steps involved to activate the flavour of the spices and the meat is almost always marinated for hours. Also, the chicken is so juicy because we it absorbs all the moisture from the curry! Yummm that made me crave some butter chicken now imma go ask my mom to make it for lunch tmrw haha

the samosas are stuffed with potatos and peas, it comes with two sauces, the green one is mint plus green chilli ( sometimes its either only mint or only chilli, depending where you order it from) the red one is made of tamarind which has a sweet and sour taste to it. Also the spinach saag, you're suppose to eat that with the naan or rice. But so glad you and jasmine are trying indian food and loving it!

Samosa is from the Middle East, so it’s not Indian
@@mgo1134 There are many dishes in the Middle East and Africa similar to samosa but the vegetable one with potato and peas is Indian origine speacilly with that triangle/cone shape. Middle eastern people don't use spices like we use in our dishes. If it's from middle east why Indian one is popular.
Similar to that, Briyani is also Indian because of spices used in it. The one eaten in Middle East is called Pilaf/pulao or something similar. Very different from Biryani.

Brandon as an Indian next time when you go to the Indian restaurant, try channa (chickpeas) mutter paneer (panerr is to die for), there's curry (not the curry that you think) there's south Indian food as well (dosa, idli, rasam) these foods will OPEN your taste buds even more. Trust me

The green sauce and red sauce are both called Chutney. They are amazing!! The green chutney is made from mint and coriander. The red chutney is made from tamarind and chilli.
The spinach saag you are meant to eat with the garlic naan, not by itself.
