This is a classic Placebo song. Reminds me of the old tracks and I love it a lot. Been a fan from the beginning. Saw them live first in the mid nineties when I was at uni. Still a fan today.

It's very impressive because this song sounds like it could have been released on the Without You I'm Nothing or the Black Market Music albums. After 25 years, they keep going as good and as fresh as always.
i remember watching Placebo on mtv when I was a teenager, feeling excited and so moved by them... now, I'm in my early forties and they still make me feel like that!

I heard "every you every me" on the radio in high school in the late 90's. Hooked ever since. It's great to still get those same youthful feelings listening to this song.

I'm 56 and when they came to the masses years ago I thought why are the kids I.e. teens into this? 51 came and I actually sat and listened to them, now I have them on every day and I'm 56. Love this live band because that's what they do best live music. Thanks for making an oldie smile. ..... alot.
It's typical Placebo, and I like this song. My first contact to the band was 'Slave to the wage', a video at hospital after motocycle accident. I was two times at concert, and I like this band.

Beautiful Brian...I grew up with your voice in my veins. One months ago I went to one of your concert with my 11 years old daughter. She loves your music so much. The 7 years old one too. Guys please let our children listen to good music. They have to understand the difference between art and boring commercial music

Loving this - in some ways - return to early days Placebo. Placebo have always been there for me since the very first time I saw 36 Degrees on MTv. It’s probably the band I’ve been fortunate to see live the most times and it’s a great comfort they’re still around and going strong as I have grown up.

Beautiful. I've been listening to Placebo for nearly 30yrs now, their sound fused to my core as I developed as a person and now they're the only voice, the only sound that reaches through the thick layers of pain and emptiness, to make me feel human again.
Sometimes I feel so lost, so far away from any connection to people or myself, from even feeling human and a Placebo song comes along and it reconnects me to a time when I had a strong feeling of self, it's overwhelming. I'm so grateful Placebo exists and are still playing their hearts out.

I already was in love with your music but I fell in love with Brian that night.
A Beautiful man who cunfused the fuck out of me for years, you helped me realise that it doesn't matter who you fall in love with and to stop labeling sexuality. You helped me down a path of discovery that took a long time to understand but I got there in the end, love is everything, it is color blind and cares nothing about sexuality. Love is without shame.

And it's fun part of listening to a great song when u think what the lyrics mean.. when u try to extract what the musician want to deliver... who is James?
My interpretation is he sings for himself, another part of himself that is still young, pure and beautiful. The world is cruel and full of lies when he thinks about it he does not want to wake up James (does not want to accept the truth) and this James (the beautiful heart that still exists somewhere in his heart keeps him alive (as in lyrics said exactly why I stay)
