Daniel Michael DeVito, known to us all as Danny, is a short, chubby, long-armed clown who can make us laugh or boo with a twist of the eyebrow. Born in New Jersey in 1944, he planned on an acting career from the start, training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and he got his share of smaller roles from the moment of graduation. But it took his role as grumpy, stumpy taxi dispatcher Louie De Palma on the ABC and NBC sitcom "Taxi" (1978-1983) to become famous. In 1982, he married comedienne Rhea Perlman (Carla on "Cheers"). They have three children. Music is "Mousy Cheese Song," written for Danny Devito.
