Got my whole house clean, laundry done, dinner in the oven. Just enough beat to keep working but not get distracted dancing. I love this! ❤

I would guess that its the drums. Soft beats than make tracks more relaxing, at least to me.
Back in elementary, we had this African dance/African cultures class. The instructor (I have long forgotten her name, but she) was Sudanese and, with her, she brought what was seemingly the entirety of her culture. Each week was something completely mind opening, from the dances we would perform at the end of each quarter, to the clothes, songs and instruments, and relics of ceremony just to name a few. It was absolutely inspired, and despite how foreign of a culture it was to my own, there was something profoundly homely to it all.l, as if I had found a part of myself long lost.
I had taken those classes from ages 6-10, and although it’s been almost 20 years since I first started, the impact those classes had on me have never left
