- Sex, drugs and rock and roll - Lemmy Kilmister lived fast, but didn't die young. Just days after his 70th birthday, the Motorhead front man fell victim to what's been called an "extremely aggressive cancer" - diagnosed only on Boxing Day.

Lemmy a true legend a one off never to be replaced. As a prostate cancer survivor myself guys get a base line PSA test in your early 40s. I was diagnosed at 44 with aggressive prostate cancer and had it removed. Its now 2 years later and alls good I'm cancer free.

Plays bass for The Damned on Ballroom Blitz Bside of I just cant be happy today. Taught Sidney Vicious how to play bass. Even sent a wreath to funeral of Ian Stuart Donaldson. Nationalist Skinhead & Skrewdriver founder & front man.They had supported Motorhead in late '70s. Proper Star in USA & Held in high esteem by likes of Metallica & Dave Grohl. Oh & one & a half litres of JD daily topped up with Sulphate. Fitting for The King Of Speed. Lemme RIP

My dad's best friend knew Ian I was not old enough back then but I have heard story's seen pictures seen hi signiture boots in many of his performances they met because the man aka my dad's best friend was moving equipment for the band and they became best friends went on tour together played together anyway that's the end of my adventure make sure to keep safe and wash your hands

Dude my sister never smoked, never did drugs, she had the odd red wine with dinner and was a chef but a chef that ate well and looked after herself with her diet she died of cancer at 46 years of age but got cancer at 40 and went thru 6 years of treatment which I wouldn't calling living losing your hair etc from chemo and radiation. Would u prefer to live a clean life and die basically at 40 but gone at 46 or do drugs, drink and smoke and live free and die at 70? You can die a lot younger than Lemmy living your life clean and healthy, many people don't do anything like Lemmy did and still die younger than him..
