In this tutorial, we breakdown how to edit the superhero landing and takeoff effect in Final Cut Pro 10. This beginner effect emulates the flying effect done Marvel (MCU) and DC Superhero movies. This effect does not require any plugins or a green screen. It just uses built in Final Cut effects such as simple masking with draw mask and keyframes. It can be achieved with an only an iPhone and a computer with FCP. The same steps apply if editing on Premiere Pro.
This VFX effect can be used when filmmaking and be included as a fun gag in your own films! You can also take it a step up and make it cinematic with sound effects (sound fx).

hey bro hopefully you see this soon because i need this video by to tonight lol, i got the landing but for some reason witht he take off when i get to the keyframe step and go to move the freeze frame, it moves the position but doesn't slide if that makes sense. so instead of it lookin like him flying off, it looks like he just vanished. PLEASE HELP IVE BEEN WATCHING THIS STEP OVER AND OVER and can't figure out how it worked with my landing but im struggling with the takeoff
