- Cedar Key is a quaint island town along the west coast of Florida. We have been wanting to visit for awhile and finally made it there. Such a cute town and we loved our little cottage at Pirates Cove. Already looking forward to another visit!

I absolutely LOVE Cedar Key! My Aunt and Uncle actually own Pirate’s Cove where you stayed, so we visit at least a few times a year and it is definitely my favorite place to go on vacation. Always a blast!

My wife and I stayed in that same cabin back in 2013,looks like yall had as much fun there as we did.We meet a guy at the tiki bar that took us on a plane ride for 30 bucks,it was very cool.

Seahorse landing condos are a great place to stay. Not as quaint but right on the water with a dock you can tie your boat to and a pool and very close to downtown. On the way in to cedar key on the main land is Robinsons seafood. Very fresh. Love the old florida feel of cedar key.

We went there many years ago for our Anniversary..... Stayed at the Sawgrass Motel (it was 2 units over a gift shop directly across from what you showed as Steamers on Dock St) We loved it! We rented a golf cart for the weekend..... haven't watched the full video yet to see if you cover this, but the Sheriff Dept. was about 7 employees and patrolled with golf carts.... lol and no "commercial" anything!!

So what are something to do and places to eat we leave Friday to go to cedar key staying in camp ground
Hi! We ate dinner at Steamers on the water. We also had a great breakfast at Annie's cafe. It's a cute place. Walking around town and down along the water was fun. The tiki bar was a nice place along the water to have drinks. I think that is closer down the road where the campground is. You'll have to let us know how the campground was. If the water is calm, you could rent kayaks to paddle over to Atsena Otie Island. We didn't get to make it over there cause of the wind but we hope to on our next trip. Have fun!
@@GloriousDayAdventures we ate at Tony’s for clam chowder for lunch and then dinner at Steamers. All was really good. We did make it over to the island. Didn’t walk around we just hung out there on the beach. The camp ground was really nice very quiet bathroom were clean. We were there for the sea food festival.
I love Cader Key and Steamers .. Go to crystal River and try Cody's Road House. Yummy 😋

With the thought of stilts, are any of the restaurants wheel chair accessible.?
I wasn't sure so I looked it up. Sounds like many of the stilt restaurants are not wheel chair accessible. One may have an elevator. There are many other restaurants not on stilts that are also great.
29 North at 83 West (that's Cedar Key's latitude and longitude as well as the name of the restaurant) is fully ADA accessible. They have an elevator. Across the street, Big Deck is wheelchair accessible because it isn't elevated above sidewalk level. Duncan's has a downstairs bar where you can eat, but clearances are tight, and people may have to move chairs for you to pass. On Second Street, I think you should be able to get into Tony's and 2nd Street Cafe. Past the park and beach, there is The Island Room (and Sand Bar) that is wheelchair accessible.
