Hahahaha, sinabi nyang high tide or low tide kasi, if high tide kasi there are some island na hindi makikita because of the sea water, if low tide namn well bumababa namn ang level ng sea water kaya may ibang island na makikita. Marami dito sa visayas ang nawawala ang island kung high tide. She has a point. I don't see any problem with the interview.

Gloria said it was a simple question and don't need to be genius to answer the question. But none of the candidates reacted to the question as composed and smartly as she did. It was a funny question. That's why most of the girls were giggling and laughing. But Gloria didn't waste time and gave an equally funny answer. Audience were laughing right after. Brilliant!

Neelam Chamoli .. the question was like "If a man from the moon landed in your hometown, what would you do to entertain him".. she answered "oh just the usual things that I do, If he's been from the moon for so long, i think he wants to CHANGE (change clothes) i guess"... that is how you entertain a guest... an astronaut would feel hot, specially in the Philippines... offering a change of clothes is a very hospitable move to entertain a guest who's been wearing space suit..

At that itme, she did not have the "it" to win. But the Greeks found her as a living Greek Goddess that's why the Greek Press voted her as the Most Photogenic. Simple answer to a simple question, not to mention an honest one and no pretension just to please people...and that what pleased the judges. I've seen her in personnwhen she attended a meeting in the building that I managed. She was so beautiful. One that you would see in the Mona Lisa smile...not obvious but it will strike you and mesmerize you for the rest of your life.
Miss Universe in Greece was also memorable. Not only Margie won there but was the most popular candidate among the Greek press at that time.

The truth is, nowadays, there's no such thing as Filipino beauty. We need half bloods to compete in the pageant. Di kaya manalo if pure Filipina. Minsan pa retokada, which is okay kasi kailangan. Kahit naman sa mga celebrities, retoke is a key for big opportunities. We have to admit na beauty is a big thing to be successful in this industry kasi yun yung tinatangkilik or more accepted.

Louise was only a semifinalist in 1965. It was Clarinda Soriano who represented us in 1966 and became a semifinalist too.
