I now realize why Tim’s playing is so clean: he does it in a bathtub
😂
Lmao hi Sam
Sam, work on a Majora’s Mask medley, now!!!
Constantly bathing in that clean filth
well so does you apparently 😂
I like how they incorporated something that each artist usually performs with during their solo - a slight horn section for Cory, a trap beat and crazy filters for Tim, and a halftime breakdown for Plini. Amazing!
This part!
Dang good observation
Along with their signature sounds/tones
I think you identified right on what they were intending with this song.
Not just that, but also how clearly each of their playing styles comes through in the song as well. Cory's much more funk-influenced playing, Plini's meticulous phrasing and expressiveness, and Tim's sharp attack and fusion of different styles of playing.
I love how the drums changed when plini dropped in. Definitely sounded like his style
It is his signature style!! 🥲👌🏻👏🏻
YAAAS
I love Tim Hensen just shredding like it's a vibe in his fluffy slippers.
THERE'S NO WAY TIM JUST RELEASED A SONG WITH MY FAVOURITE FUNK GUITARIST WHAT A CROSSOVER
Lol
IM LITERALLY IN SHOCK RN
Yes... This is weird. Is this Matrix?
wish they collab more. love plini but feel this song totally vibes with cory and tim.
I was just about to comment the same thing. Insane haha
They all have an identifiable tone, you know who’s playing without even watching and it’s beautiful
Thats what I was thinking too
This weather channel track bops
I didn't know how Plini look like but I immediately know when he starts playing. The vibe just too iconic
but you are watching
They all have distinct stances as well
If and when this gets a Spotify release it's going straight into the Vibes playlist. Such a Warm sounding song

to see artists at the top of their game just jamming, without trying to out-do one another, is so so refreshing.
Certainly. But rap, like ancient Greek philosophy and sophistry, is inherently agonistic.
You know, I hear "older musicians" that talk about the lost guitar heroes, that there's not many out there that can inspire others to pick up the guitar. Not only do I see/hear three of them right here but the song composition using the trap/EDM fusion arrangements is the jet fuel to the current guitar hero movement! The future of the instrument is in good hands! That is all..... No, I don't work for NDSP :D
Its always a pleasure to see you have all of them in your radar, Geebz. They are indeed the evolution of what a modern guitar player can be described as.
P.S. React to some RIVERSIDE, for the love of god. Take care my friend.
@@imarsvolta3825 Thanks man! Yea, just reacted to a WONDERFUL Plini track but I have yet to for Cory (coming soon) - Yep got some RIVERSIDE on the way AWWWRIGHT!!
This is a rumination about getting old. Who wants, can look around what's going on today. Of course it won't be the same, as the experiences you had when you were growing up.
@@KeyOfGeebz Thats great!
I've been thinking about this a lot. And I think part of the answer is the mystery surrounding the old guitar heroes. There were myths about all of them. Social media put a stop to that sadly. Nowadays guitar heroes aren't marketable. That's the second reason I believe. Of course we have guitarist who are at least as good as the old heroes, but the general world doesn't care anymore. Maybe because the heroes of today are quite friendly, calm and seemingly behaving people on the contrary to the Jimi's, the Kurts and others. Anyway Big fan of Tim Henson. Discovered him a few weeks ago (I know, waaaayyy too late). He's a revolutionary guitarist. Could easily go mainstream if he simplifies his music. He inspired me to go out of my own world (which is mostly funk-type guitar). This summer I will be training on my legato, tapping and more metal-techniques to try out his songs :D Also big fan of Cory Wong btw, the guy is phenomenal live!
Never expected the day I’d see Cory Wong and Tim Henson on a track together! This is marvelous!!!
haha I was literally just thinking the same
Yesss!!!!
I'll cosign on that hombre!
tim's lil bathtub solo really just like encapsulates why hes so special to me. the solo starts and you kinda think you know where hes going with it and just flips the melody on its head, breaks it down into his own motifs, and adds such pretty flourishes that give him his own unique style. its literally like listening to hendrix or stevie ray vaughan, you just know who you're listening to.
This stuff sounds like the contemporary instrumental jazz of the mid to late 90s, Brings back great memories. Ive seen Plini live and that dude is a BEAST.
You mean stuff like, "Rite of Strings", yes?
My Grandpa just died yesterday, and he always told to watch the sunset and apreciate it, so this song coming from my favorite guitarrist is like a gift.
Ay man im sorry to hear that
my condolences, i hope you find peace in this song at least. best wishes ❤
Oh man, sorry for your loss :(
So sorry for your loss. Hopefully this musical gift will help to ease your sorrow and you can remember your Grandpa with a smile whenever you hear it.
Sorry for your loss man. Now you can listen to sunset too
It's like Tim's been hanging out with the LoFi Hip Hop Girl, and they made this song together. Dope AF
or you know, what it is? hes been hanging out with funk players n stuff, thats why its good, not 'lofi hip hop girl' whatever that is 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤮🤮🤮🤮

Plini's long note at the beginning of his solo is just beautiful. It takes you away to a distant place where everything is just so right. Love it
I'd buy an entire album that sounded like this
You should check out Eternity Forever then. They have a 5(?) song ep that I think you'd find worth the listen. Oh, and maybe Royal Coda (same singers, slightly heavier). And idk, Strawberry Girls (mostly instrumental) kinda got a similar vibe too. I feel like I'm forgetting a band, but I digress.

I watched/heard this for the first time today. I’ve now played it 7 times and forwarded it to multiple people. I can’t get enough of it. This hasn’t happened in a long while for me. Thank you gentlemen. Thank you…including the Neural people.
Everyone deserves someone who looks at them the way that Cory Wong looks at Plini while he's playing a solo. Such admiration.
Plini and Sithu Aye are imo two the best soloists right now in prog.
1:28 for the money shot
My dog looks at me that way. He's more than I could ask for.
@@tymtrppr3 I love Sithu, but Plini is top of the food chain.
1:24 that mood change with the reverb and plini´s solo is soo fuckin outstanding
That’s classic Plini.
Plini is like the thunder boom in an approaching storm
that plini tone though always been fan of Jazzy tone solo in progressive metal way :)
A perfect song. Tim has such a wonderful sense of melody too.
Tim’s bow of respect during Plini’s solo is class.👍
For anybody who’s never heard Plini before - I recommend “Selenium Forest” for your first listen. And then dive in to the rest.
Saw him live last month. Just great fun.
Electric sunrise is still a classic for me

@@zakking5654 His catalogue is incredible.
That song is a masterpiece in my opinion. Good choice
the ibanez, the strandberg and the fender, all coming together to make this musical feast

Which one's the Ibanez? Tim's?
Plini is on his Strandberg as usual.

@@stugeh I'm glad you picked up on the word play. Aaron is a really great guitarist too
Plintervals. I got that t-shirt.
The first part of his solo has huge Flying In A Blue Dream vibes. You can tell Satriani is an influence.

its amazing how all three guitarists have an identifiable tone and style of composition. Without even knowing or looking at the video, you can tell which part is being played by who. So individualistic.
This feels like the musical equivalent of some buds having a few beers before a night out. Great vibes!
If the buds happened to be bent as fuck, so corny
In their minds, it's exactly like that. For other people, it's like three dudes mocking a rock band with broomsticks.
I love how all 3 of their signature sounds fits into 1 song! Summer bop for sure!
ON GOD
I was literally about to say the same thing!
This song should be on streaming platform
I have Played Guitar and piano for 34yrs and honestly, it's hard to amaze me at this point but every time I watch your Videos, I get truly amazed. You have an amazing Gift. Keep up the amazing work you do.
Three of my favorite guitarists on one song. Truly the crossover event of the year.
this is amazing, i never thought i would see such a good collab
The transition from the third guitarist to back to Tim was so smooth.
Ibanez AZ with custom inlay + ebony fretboard is so beautiful
Three masters of the craft in completely different styles. The musicality and technique never infringe upon their taste and groove.
Such a vibe.
0:41 Tim's signature sound is just godly 🙏
Why isnt this on Spotify
7 months later and I still return to this song. Thank you guys for such a great piece of art. I always come back to this song and it makes me feel like I can accomplish anything, always brightens my day. Keep it up ❤
Love how they showcased their unique styles all in one song. Wong with impeccable funk rhythms, Henson with signature creativity and tone, Plini with heart and soul. Great collab!
talk about a style crossover. these guys are the best in what they do and its so sick to see this kind of collab.
Guitar ain't dead, it is alive and well. It is constantly being reinvented. These guys are great.
Tim's fashion from his hair to his black toenails are just such an aesthetic. His respect for wearing slippers in the home means he's welcome to my house anytime!
3 guitarists that are at the top of their game and continue to makes waves with their styles. Can't even handle how beautiful this song is. You can hear each of their distinct tones and technique yet they all are so harmonious together. Thank you for this. 💜
You’re so spot on
If your all cumdrunk on stuff you can't do on guitar I guess. Lol
The mashup we knew we wanted but figured we may never get
I really love the fact that all guitars are plugged, even it it's just de MV
This is just pure feel good music. I love how you don't let any style box you in. You go from shred straight into Yacht Rock without a need to break for transition. Go head white boys! Get it!
I was literally just thinking yesterday how wild it would be if Tim henson and plini made a track together. The synchronicity is beautiful. I'd love to hear what Tim could bring to one of Plinis epic songs like "every piece matters".
Every Piece Matters is such a great song. It’s on my feel good playlist, and this song will join it should it get a Spotify release.
Same thoughts here, I'm just so happy to see Plini 🫰🏻
So good, those vocalizers
Love Plini's tone in this.
kind of reminds me of Satriani's latest stuff
This just feels like a fun jam session with 3 extremely talented guitarists.
1:44 is absolutely beautiful, fantastic sequence definitely my favorite part of this
I’ve repeated this section a lot
That little high "uuick" slide at 1:57 made my jaw drop. I don't play guitar but that section was a very rare immediate quadruple replay for me.
Nothing like the ole HYUCK to get ‘em goin
the frickin AEUHP is great
Little hyuck hyuck lick classic tim right
Personally, I'm a fan of the widdly widdlys
I believe it's not just Tim but rather a synth track in the back that blended well with Tim's slide here
What I love about good instrumental music what these three make is that there are no vocals but their playing is so vocal in itself. It feels like it perfectly takes the place of a vocalist, and it feels like a vocalist would oversaturate the piece. It’s beautifully composed and so freaking majestic. Even considering their each unique styles; each solo is reminiscent of something like 90’s r&b where you’d have each member of a group solo over background acappella. It’s magic-really.
those tones are absolutely mental!
Wow that feeling you get being one of the firsts is really different, amazing btw
Yesssss loveeee this sooo fucking ready for anything the bois release

^I personally liked all his older stuff more than the most recent album. Just sayin in case OP also isn't too into it. Away is probably my favorite song (maybe 2nd is Selenium Forest).
Edit: ooh or Every Piece Matters
Plini is a mad man. What I respect about him most is that he does what he wants; when he wants to. His output thus far hasnt been too crazy, but it has been of the highest quality. And most of it has been/is done (literally) in house
Plini is next level. His band is incredible too. Pretty much can’t go wrong with any of his last 3 albums. New drummer on the newest 2.
I like how all 3 of them are identifiable immediately just by their guitar tones, they aren't compromising their personalities to make the music it's music that's all about showing off the personalities
Beautiful Tim. Just Beautiful. Thank you for getting on a song with PLINI, even if it wasn't your idea. You're both my greatest guitar compositional Inspirations.
