Okinawa, Bolivia is a community in the centre of South America that is home to families of Japanese migrants who first started arriving more than a century ago.
Japan’s connections with Bolivia have been in the spotlight since July 15, 2019, when Japan’s Princess Mako of Akishino travelled to the country while visiting the region to commemorate the 120th anniversary of Japanese migration to South America.

I think i found the reference why Luffy from the Japanese manga/anime called One piece is a Brazilian nationality ...It's not related but when i found out they had a history of manufacturing rubber in Bolivia and Luffy powers is made of rubber. ...i see the connection there why the mangaka Oda sensei referenced Luffy is a Brazilian nationality if he was in real life. ...sorry my english writing

Okinawa has never been truly a part of Japan and Japan never truly thought of it as a part of itself. It technically has more in common with China and Chinese culture than anything else, because it was once a satellite state for China
