This Royal family deserves to be one lol. You can see their love for each other and respect for each other and they are so down to earth.
Just amazing! The queen standing alone at the top of the stairs as Joachim and family arrive, opening her arms to welcome then just like any loving grandmother of any social class would, anywhere in the world.
Why isn't the oldest boy the crown prince?

@@user-wk5ff4jv3r We don't need subtitles for all the commentary, which if it is anything like the commentary in other countries about such events, is not exactly profound, but it would be nice to know who all these people are. That doesn't take much work for the TV network before they post the video. I recognized only the royals themselves. If we knew the names of the civilian notables (and we're not going to catch them buried in the Danish vocabulary surrounding them), that could spur us to look them up and learn something about Danish culture and politics, which I assume is not something the Danish people wish to keep a secret from the rest of the world. If they do, why post these videos at all? In addition, while Italians may speak three languages, Danish is probably not one of them. Nor for the Greeks. Nor for the French. Nor for the Albanians. Nor for the Bulgarians, etc. I was also not aware that Scandinavia was not a part of Europe (since you refer to them separately). That would be an unusual take on geography and current geopolitics. Congratulations to the prince for passing this milestone in his life and for being part of a family that seems so much like a regular family, despite their position and wealth. Bravo.

Danish protocol needs to take the photographers in hand. The honoured guests to most Danish Royal functions must run a gauntlet to get to their dinner. Photographers bully them and slow a well timed process. In my country we don’t allow the press to take over!
The guests didn't have to stop if they really didn't want to. They all wanted their pictures taken and be in the newspapers.
Those last two guests made a major protocol faux pas. No one should arrive after the Guest of Honour (Prince Joachim) and the Queen. That is considered really bad form.

There is nothing wrong with inviting the former wife of Prince Joachim. They remain good friends and she is the mother of the two elder boys and she regularly joins them for Christmas. This is how civilized people do things.
