Prodigy Says People Think He Is Soft & Talks Tupac Beef "I Wanted To Kill That N*gga"

The realest dudes in hip hop for me were always Tupac, Prodigy, DMX, Guru & ODB. Only one left now....
"Its right back to the same fight, they got us suspecting a war but the real war is to follow the law of the LORD"
The realest ones for me were always Eazy, Knocc Out, Prodigy, Quik.
None left now..
And now, X has also left 😭
Biggie smalls is the illest.
Prodigy didn't sound fake or scared. He's well aware of Pac's connections. Just because a nigga ain't yelln or thrown up gang signs don't mean that he won't fuck U up
People just loved tupac because he was loud lol... And obnoxious... Just like most of the general public... Imma just leave that right there and wait for people to get mad lol
Marc NY I wasn't a Pac fan but dude had hella charisma & knew how to move people.
+Phillip and he was loud and obnoxious lol
No doubt. His mouth & attitude got him & Biggie killed.
+Phillip Yo if it wasn't for Suge dumb ass at the source award at 95 and 2pac making hit me up for believing him bad boys shot him then both teams would of had pac and big
Cali We still got love for Mobb Deep
Word but Pac wasn't from Cali tho. He repped Cali but he really from N.Y.
@@hiiipoweriii2211 because he felt like cali had his back during that whole thing
@@afroprince5262 no was a get with
Tupac wasn't really just a rapper. He represented the average everyday brotha. He didn't spit many metaphors or was the best lyrcist alive. The reason why people label him the best is because they can relate to him and his lyrics. it was some flossing in his music but for the most part he spoke the truth and tried to better blacks as a race. you can compare him to biggie, mobb deep, nas, jay, or whoever. The man was a totally different artist from all of them, so there is no comparison. None of us are perfect. Pac wasn't and you will never be. But he had a strong voice for the black community and it ultimately led to his death. Before you comment and post things about some of the great black people that came before you, take your time to study them outside of music and learn what they stand for instead of joining the hater band wagon. Real talk
agree, Pac was rare, he had the whole package, there is only one 2pac
Lauris Medus. Tupac was an effeminate, homothug talking shit ass dude.Wish he was alive to talk that shit to B. Sigel. Bull would've bodied em lyrically & literally.

Prodigy speaks the truth. I was in LA back in 99 and I would bump the best of mobb deep by Mister Cee every single day and everyone loved the Mobb.

RIP Prodigy and Pac you guys both were fighting a fight in your own way. Prodigy was fighting the kill or be killed mentality of QB and his condition with Sickle Cell Anemia. 'Pac was fighting against police brutality and unifying his community as well as the entire hip hop world. But at the same time, he was fighting against street dudes that set him up and went all out paranoid. Hope you guys are making up now up there.
Fuck pac, corny ass nigga got a gem dropped on him. I watched this shotgun suicide n it reminded of pac's jacko latern blowing up. Love pac fans. Easy way to get shot
Tupac was really talented and a good rapper, but he was and still too overrated. Like c'mon y'all. Only youngsters think Pac is a Rap God.
go fuck yourself, punk
Actually yeah mobb deep totally fucked w death row. Didn't death row go bankrupt? Didn't their artists all flop right in the heat of the west vs east war? EXACTLY hahahahhahahahah. Far as I know mobb deep still out there doing their thing and death row ain't. Right? Yup!! LOL
***** The Fugees doing gangster rap? Not once have i even heard them talk some "gangster shit" in their music, like they literally do not do gangster rap whatsoever. So that alone lets me know you are talking out your asscheeks bro. Stop while you're ahead.
No actually tupac aint overrated at all in the time he still whas alive the songs and albums he made they outsold everybody no one came close and yesterday whas the first time you looked at the album sales and put down a comment like this thats hes overrated its not true
I like tupac for his lyrics but still i dont only listen to him
Both Prodigy and 2Pac got their start at dance academies, so they could have been good friends if they weren't on opposing sides.
Drop a gem on them! nuff said! R.I.P. Prodigy!
That's why I hit 'em up
Imma big Pac fan but respect to Mobb Deep
Same here, I'm 20 and listen to Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Eazy E and Mobb Deep more than them.
I respect Pac but while he was still alive, I wasn't really much into him like that. I was more into Mobb deep, Redman, Busta rhymes, Brotha lynch Hung, E40, Scarface, Mc Eiht n dem niggas. They was more street & I related to them more but dat Thuglife vol.1 album Pac dropped was dope tho.
@Vic Collins True words, have been listenin' to him since I was young, and Dr. Dre's my favourite of all time, I get into the real street shit most the time, it's relatable.
Imma huge pac fan too but I love the way how prodigy even though pac died he doesn't start talking alot of shit like a lot of people, he says what happened, and gives pac his props, and says yeah they had beef but it's whatever
@C. YAA FUCK SLOBB DEEP

... The damn music is louder then the interview man
i dont understand why so much ppl dislike n hatin prodigy here. hes just keeping it 100! first of all lemme make it clear, 2pac to me is the greatest hip hop artists ever. he wasnt the best rapper, he was a good rapper, but in terms of an artist he was the best song writer and all round artist in hip hop history, in my opinion. What made him special to me was his character and warrior/political spirit/vision. HOWEVER ... you pac followers need to calm down! you wasnt there, dont know what or wasnt part of what was goin on, and yh pac stood for more than these other rappers, but he was not perfect and at times was almost schizophrenic it seems. sometimes he said too much and where as these dudes were not on his level socially or in the game, they are still street dudes and would not take disrespect! mobbs music is classic, and was a big part of that "90s/new york sound" that all of you say you miss when you diss todays artists, and they have countless anthems! they bring something different to the table then pac, whether its sound, how they rhyme, their energy all that, and you have to show respect. they were not and will not reach the level pac was on, in terms of power and influence on society or hip hop and yh i feel pac was on a next level to these ppl in what he stood for and "realness" (which is not a good word to use). But dont be a follower. and all you hating on pac for stupid ignorant reasons and dont see what he represented and meant to the culture, are just lost niggas as lux would say lol ... ALL in my opinion
You've said it all, i think you've just concluded life
Real nigga shit I respect your opinion
No one is the best rapper, stop bullshit!
First off I like prodigy and yes he probably is hood but saying he's better than pac never, pac was on a Malcom x type thug Life rapper, pac rapped about what really was going on he didn't just rap about B's the streets but what really was going on and I think people were actually jealous of him, I grew up on biggie and pac and always been a biggie fan til actually listening to pac the words he was complex, deep, way ahead of his time. I'm not saying this because he was a good rapper, to me he was better than Biggie, he just hung around the wrong crowd, but the brother was deep, it's crazy to see and hear how much knowledge he has in his music, personally yeah he got upset because of what transpired from the quads studio robbery and that set him off but trust pac was deeper and more influential than mobb, yeah they rapped about the streets ok, but pac had a message in every song he rappped
Agreed
Regardless of your take on this, everything Prodigy said was true. Tupac knew exactly who they were and they were going right back at him. They were some of the only people in New York going back at them. It must have been hostile and it would have gotten very ugly if they crossed paths. Both Mobb Deep & Pac were running with some high powered individuals who were ready to put it all on the line. Mobb Deep are in my top 2 and rest in peace to Pac. The entire world felt that blow and still does.
Come on man prodigy wanted to kill pac if he come on ny right ? In mtv awards in new york pac was there mobb deep was there , why prodigy do shit ? Come on i like prodigy but..
This the truest comment on here i agree 100% the only thing is i dont like it when rappers talk down on Pac after he died
Thank you man and yes I agree. I don't think Prodigy means to come across disrespectfully, he is just stating exactly what it was at the time. I guess there's no point in sugar coating it. Pac was publically making fun of P's disease.. it was getting kind of personal. What I do respect though is Prodigy saying how much he learned to respect Pac later in his life. Saying that little did he know but they had a lot of friends in common and would have probably been on the same team by now.
The entire world did not feel it. What about Buddhist monks, embryos, animals, aborigines, eskimos, and deaf/mute/blind ppl. None of them felt it and they are part of the world.
I think you took my comment a little TOO literal. There are rap and hip hop fans, as well as fans of the culture all over the world, in every country. It is up to the reader to use their brain to decipher my comment, but hey..
In actual fact, Mobb Deep kept it shit tons more real at the end of the day.
Mobb Deep never got media attention because beefs and riots is what caught the eye of Television and Newspaper back in the days, the Mobb were 19 and 20 years of age during this time, their mindset was on music, and frankly the whole East coast were like that too. Did you ever see Wu-Tang, Nas, Jay-Z, Big L, AZ etc. Back in the 90's getting involved in petty beefs as such?
The only incident which flared the whole thing was the statement that Biggie shot Pac, and that is what mainly started the idea of "West vs East coast". (long story short).
And to be brutally honest, Pac loved it. I saw are numerous interviews Tupac willingly participated in, blatantly calling out rappers, e.g Biggie, Nas, Mobb Deep, Puffy... Tupac only dissed Mobb Deep because his gangster vibe was being overcome by some young dudes who dropped 2 massive hits, and Pac cracked it when Survival Of The Fittest had guys yelling "Thug life, we still living it".
At least Mobb Deep had the decency to take "Drop a Gem on em" off the radios after Pac died as a sign of respect, P claims he wanted to kill Pac, but that wouldn't have happened. For all that Dogg Pound, Pac and other "West Coast" rappers did to Mobb Deep and other artists, the "East Coast" could've sat back and laughed as that song was being aired.
I3oomerTappy naa nigga he felt like Mobb Deep was takin shots on Survival of the fittest when Dey was like thug life we still living it that’s why he dissed them quit tryna make it seem like Pac was a bully
@@nicholaswilliams5717 Tupac is the bully! Making fun of sickle cell is just childish! Tupac acted like a 4 year old kid. Prodigy is underrated and deserves the credit and the fame way more.
I like the details of your statement but I'm Just Makavelied out
@@voodoo1067 I kind of understand Pac. Though this whole east coast vs west coast beef for me is like a misunderstanding for both sides.
Well get shot five times and go to jail for something you never did and you would be pissed of too. Of course Mobb Deep took that song off the radio after Pac died. How can someone defend themselves if they are no longer here? Only a coward would diss a dead person. That's basically common sense.

he aint dissing him, he saying when pac was alive and the beef was going in the mid 90s it was real on both sides. its love. he just saying how he felt back then
prodigy is telling the truth about how during the whole time that the "supposed" beef between the two coasts was going down that mob deep was performing out here in the west coast. i can recall being at club unity, in los angeles, attending a common sense and ganstarr performance, and this was right around the time when west side connection had dropped that "westside slaughterhouse" track which dissed common sense, and that night common sense performed "the bitch in you" and everybody in the venue just went crazy. it was all love. only the media and idiots fed into the whole east vs west beef, real hip hop heads knew what was up and never hated on no artist because of where he was from. that shit's retarded.

We not gonna acknowledged the scene cut 💀
I don't remember EVER hearing "L.A., L.A." live in Los Angeles.
Prodigy wasnt as big as pac. East coast is more grimy, underground. Stick with one crew type of thing Mobb Deep. West coast, they jumping all over to different crews. Death row, N.W.A., to ruthless records. Thats what the media likes, tension & beef. Mobb Deep didnt get much coverage cause they didnt switch crews like all them west coast rappers did, but they good with it cause they keep it real. All about loyaly on eastside. West coast is all about that dollar sign. As long as they get paid they dont give a fck who they with.
Fool, you think East Coast keeps it real? LA invented gangbanging homie. Not Chicago, not New York. I'm not talking just about territory wars, in LA the gangs kill people just because they like to. MS-13 is by far the most violent street gang in the USA and Central America (Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, etc). Do you know where MS-13 originated from? Right in the heart of LA. The rappers that come from the hood in LA, of course they are gonna switch record labels if they feel like they are getting fucked over. Why? Because the west coast rappers were out selling the east cost BY FAR back then during the east-west coasts 'war', and their record labels weren't paying them enough. Of course it's all about the dollar.
What the fuck is this bullshit about "keepin it real" because the east coast rappers didn't switch record labels that often? Every fucking rapper ever was in it to make money. And that's why during that whole stupid feud, the west coast rappers were gettin paid way more than the east coast rappers, even Biggie (RIP, I love Biggie). The only exception here is Tupac. He was a political activist, he didn't just rap about money and bitches, he rapped about poverty, racism, the Prison Industrial Complex, I mean his mother was a BLACK PANTHER for fucks sake homie....Pac was a poet and his words touched the hearts of so many people that he has a cult following where people think that he is still alive. They can't accept the fact that he's dead, and it's been 18 years!!!
And that's not to say that New York rappers didn't keep it real. Nas is the best rapper to come from the east coast IMO. I LOVE Biggies music, but Nas was almost like Tupac, he rapped about poverty, he told stories like Pac did, Nas is a lyrical genius and he DESTROYED Jay-Z. And look at most of the big time east coast rappers now, Puffy is a sellout, he didn't keep it 'real', Jay-Z is a sellout, same shit. EVERYONE is in it for the money, get that fucking nonsense out of your mind. I'm originally from Europe, but I moved to Bedstuy Brooklyn when I was nine, and moved to SoCal when I was 15, in Watts (remember the infamous Watts Riots before the LA riots in '91). Let me tell you homie, the ghettos and slums, the gangsters in New York are not shit compared to the motherfuckers out in Cali. I never seen some people that are so fucking cruel in my entire life. MS-13 is the most violent and powerful street gang in the USA and Central America (El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, etc.), and MS-13 originated right in the heart of LA. It was a FUCKED UP place back in the 90's. When the LA riots hit in '91, my family moved back to Europe, too fucking scary in Cali, and we ony lived there for two years. The USA is a fucked up place and I'm glad to be out of that shithole. But everybody in the east coast was tryin to imitate Cali gangs, it's fucking hilarious. Chicago is almost as bad as LA was during the Rodney King riots. Detroit, Baltimore, LA Atlanta, New Orleans, Oakland, are all waaaay more scary than New York ever was, even in the highest crime rate boroughs.
So again, don't get me wrong, I got love for New York rappers and peoples in New York, Manhattan is my favorite place I've ever been, just because it's so beautiful with the skyscrapers and the lights at nighttime. I cried on 9/11 when the WTC came crumbling down, and I'm European. So don't get it twisted like I'm some biased idiot from the west coast, I have an open mind and I speak the truth.
Your taking it waaay back homie. I aint speaking bout the "INVENTORS" of the thug life. Im speaking ppl who keep it real. You dont have to be from chicago either. By the way, I aint talking bout gangs & territory. Im talking bout rap artist. Could careless bout gangbanging.
I wouldn't say the East Coast is underground.

No it didn’t. Bomb first, against all odds, Hail Mary, hit em up top drop a gem. Drop a gem had no facts, they said Tupac got raped in jail but no proof he got raped cause he didn’t. And prodigy wasn’t a real hood nigga he did that for record sales. Tupac won the beef
That song came out in September of 96 while Tupac was laying in his deathbed.
Lol no it didn’t. Pac had way more diss tracks than mobb deep had on Pac, he had against all odds hit em up and when we ride on our enemies and had real facts. He talked bout prodigy havin sickle cells that’s facts, he talked bout mobb deep not bein real NY niggas that’s facts, his shit had facts meanwhile they had lies talm bout him gettin raped even tho he didn’t. Mobb deep lost beef with erry rapper they beefed with, they lost to somebody like jay z so how tf they gone win against pac? They never won, they literally were subliminally dissin and couldn’t even use his name, but pac used their names and was real bout it, and mobb deep dissed pac when he wasn’t even makin music atm he was in Vegas with suge, he was tourin, havin fun with death row, how come they never dissed em when he was dissin erry body? You dumb asf pac won the beef
I don’t give a fuxk what coast you from as long you represent the 90’s real rap and music is all love
Rip P & Pac 🙏🏽
