OMG queen Cassie is having her Carrie Bradshaw trying on Vivienne Westwood wedding gowns and showing us when she becomes a gorgeous bride 👰♂ 😍 💖 💕 💗 ❤️ 👰♀!!!
I had the exact same experience. After many tries at a white dress, I ended up getting married in a black and gold Marchesa gown. It was me. And it was perfect. Do what makes you happy, babe. ❤
I FELT THIS SO HARD! I actually ended up crying the first time I went to look for my dress and the sales associate thought I was crying because I loved the dress but I didn’t want to look crazy so I went along with it lol I hope you find your perfect dress!
I bawled my eyes out trying on wedding dresses because I felt “weird” so I went in a more me direction Embroidered pink and gold dress with long sleeves and lace 😊
As a bridal MUA, I tell people all the time GO WITH YOUR HEART! Your wedding is for you, don’t do what you’re supposed to do, do what feels right! I suggest going to a well known bridal store that Carrie’s various brands and working with a stylist. Also, weddings are so emotional. Thanks for sharing with us and good luck on your search!
Omgggg your dad is just as adorable and fun as you are, somehow I'm not surprised 😊Congrats on kicking off this chapter, excited for more wedding content!
Here is the prediction, your wedding dress would bedazzled and skin hugging elegance. Loving to witness your wedding dress journey, thanks for sharing this special moment with us ❤
Cassie! I had the same experience when I was trying on wedding dresses! I was getting so frustrated and overwhelmed, because all the dresses were pretty, but not my STYLE. I started getting worried I would never find one that I loved, and would just end up in a dress that I didn’t even like. I started crying at one shop, and the sales lady and my mom thought I was crying out of happiness… But it was the complete opposite! I ended up picking a dress that I really liked, and as I got it altered to fit my body and added special touches to it, I fell in love with it more and more. I think the key is picking a dress that you love, and adding details to it that make it you. Good luck!!! Can’t wait to see what dress you pick!!
Cassie! You NEED to try on the Pnina Tornai gowns at Kleinfeld in NYC. It’s SO your aesthetic! ❤ VW bridal is too matronly for you. Pnina is youthful, edgy and sexy yet wedding appropriate! 🎉 Good luck 👍
OMG I was thinking the exact same thing the entire video. I absolutely love Pnina’s wedding gowns and she will also design you one as well. Keli geld has over 25,000 gowns and tons of amazing designers - I love Lazano as well as Hayley Paige. I don’t think she has a Cassie gown yet….and her studio is right there in NY as well. So excited lol
I think it’s better to go to a big wedding dress store rather than a brand and since you are in NY you should go to Kleinfield. You can try different shapes and colors and styles. Good luck
I can't wait to watch this wedding dress journey with you - stick to your gut reactions to the dress styles, Cassie. Your fashion instincts rarely serve you wrong, and in the end, you will be in a dress that allows your personality to shine through!
Let’s goo!! Wedding prep can be so overwhelming when you get into the details, but just keep your eyes on the big picture 😊 you’ll definitely create something beautiful 🙌
I absolutely felt the same way!! it made it harder because my friends and mom loved every single dress. I, controversially, ended up making now husband come with me because he genuinely didn't care at all about the dress 🤣
Thank you for sharing some of your bridal preparations! I agree none of the dresses you showed were you. I can’t wait to see the ONE! I’m wishing this entire process is a smooth, peaceful one Cassie!❤
I got married 15 years ago and had a similar experience. Nothing I tried on felt like me, and I didn’t feel the happiness that others felt when trying on wedding dresses. I had tears streaming down my face, weeping in private in the fitting room. I realized it was because I was trying to force myself in a stereotypical mold that others created… once I shed that albatross, the skies opened up, and I was able to create something for myself that I loved. I will say, though, with all of the stress, emotions, ridiculous money spent, and the event only lasting 4 hours… I wish I would’ve skipped the wedding extravaganza and spent the money on an experience of a lifetime traveling with my husband as we began our new chapter together. Whatever you choose to do, I wish you happiness!!! 🌈
I love this! You have to be true to your core. Maybe your perfect dress isn't a "wedding dress" at all. You push the boundaries and create your own style, why would your wedding dress be any different? Follow your gut, listen to your feelings, and do whatever the F you want. We are all here for it! Thanks for bringing us on the journey with you!
This brought back memories. I went through a lot of different styles. Some of the dresses I tried looked hilarious once I put them on. I couldn't stop laughing (it was better than crying, believe me). I ended up finding The Dress and it ended up being a style hadn't considered, but once it was on, it was perfect. Once you find The Dress, you know.
Have you ever watched "Say Yes to the Dress?" Randy Fanoli is right in NYC (Kleinfeld). They have a whole selection of various designers, and you might have some fun there ... I guess there's the feeling (crying) when you find your dress ... DEFINITELY get the one you want. I purchased a lesser one, and still, to this day, many years later, think of the first one I loved. You're going to be a lovely bride!
I had many weird wedding dress try on situations. It is a visceral experience for sure!! You will find something beautiful that feels like you- I’m sure of it!! ❤🎉
Not shocked at all that you are eying Vivienne Westwood Bridal. Been following long enough to know you love VW & the pieces you have return that love. 😎☕💋
Would honestly love to see you go for a non-traditional non-white wedding dress - as other people have said, you should just do what makes you happy/feels right for you.
Obsessed with this wedding content!! ❤️ Been watching your videos for years and I am just so happy for you! Thank your for your raw honesty and showing your vulnerability. Completely relatable! Can’t wait for more!!! Cassie 2 $$ getting married…Let’s Go!!!
Try, try, try on until you get the feeling within you and know the dress is the ONE for you. When I got married (second wedding, first time I did not have a church wedding/ traditional gown) I knew I wanted sexy (I was in my 30's) but also longed for the ballgown/ long train effect. After trying on many, many dresses, I finally found one that satisfied both of my wishes and in my price range. I bought a stunning mermaid dress, fully beaded antique white/ cream dress with a gorgeous detachable train. Enjoy the dress shopping experience, can't wait to see what you choose.
I love your channel, Cassie. It would be interesting to see (in a vlog) what "mummy" would chose as your wedding dress vs. you. We all know that you will make the final decision!❤ I think it would be fun content! ❤❤
Good morning Cass Cass!!! Can’t wait to come on this journey with you, it’s going to be the most fabulous day of your life, I know you’re going to look beautiful and fashionable 😊.
I used to work in bridal. You love crystals.. I see you with a sort of crystal overlay on the skirt to add your classic pizazz , or crystal on the bodice. And a one inch wide strap, with a squared neckline.
The prices of wedding gowns can really cost a fortune these days. Just don't get totally swept away in it all when selecting a gown or else you will lose your sanity! LOL! And remember that you will wear the gown only once and not for a very long time. When my best friend got married, around 37 years ago at around age 32, she went out to look for a gown and was driving out Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills, saw a white Greek goddess-looking gown in the window at either Neimans or Saks, parked her car, went inside, found the gown, tried it on, and bought it off the rack. It was around $1,200 total. It was a sleeveless silk chiffon flowing gown, draped beautifully and elegantly, no frou-frou, no puffiness, no stiffness, etc. It was easy to dance in at the reception. My friend was able to wear the gown to some events years later as the gown had been classified as one that could be worn as a wedding gown or not as a wedding gown. And at her wedding, she didn't wear a veil, but instead went for a very dainty Greek goddess style gold headband wreath. To this day, she's still 100% glad that she chose that gown and still has it. As for the wedding, she had it at her cousin's house (no bridesmaids), then a buffet reception was at the Top-Of-The-Hilton restaurant inside of the Hilton hotel. The big money went on the overseas honeymoon as I think they flew off to an island in Greece. Fast forward to friend and husband's daughter who got married a little over a decade ago, and for 50 guests at a wedding and reception held outside at a vineyard, it was $50,000. As for the gown, another absolutley gorgeous gown, but found at one of the many vintage boutiques here in L.A. The daughter was going for an old Hollywood glamour look and totally pulled it off in an elegant, vintage lace gown. She and her dad looked as if they were floating down the vineyard path to the area where the minister and harpist were waiting. Remember that you don't only have to look for a gown at wedding planner places. Friends of mine who had really gorgeous wedding gowns, found them outside of the usual wedding places. Are you going to be wearing the same gown at the second wedding in Ghana? I remember you commenting about also doing a wedding there. Or will you go for something more West African? Weddings in either West Africa or here by West Africans are beautiful. Good luck in your search for a wedding gown and remember that it has to be you, like second skin. Greetings from Los Angeles
I’m going wedding dress shopping on Saturday for the first time and this video couldn’t be better times! I’m obsessed with Vivienne’s off the shoulder ruched look so so much. You look amazing 🤍
How interesting! I assumed you would automatically go for an embellished dress since that is so much a part of your style and vision. Looking forward to seeing more of this series! Very excited for you! ✨✨
I echo everyone's sentiments here! It makes so much sense that you can't imagine yourself in something that is "expected" of you, like a classic bridal dress or a suit, if that is not your style. I got married two years ago and couldn't possibly imagine myself in a tux (we didn't want a formal wedding anyway), so I went for a cream hand embroidered Bode jacket and black pants, and added baby blue Converse high tops. I felt like myself 100% and I've worn all the pieces separately on a few occasions since then.
The vlog weve all waited for ❤, whatever you choose just make sure it makes you cry in a good way, dong settle for anything other than you're dream. Now please can we see your mum shopping for her outfit.
Galia Lahav Cassie, Galia Lahav! Stunning designer. They do custom anything and their corsets are also top level. Thin corsets, but so strong and structured. Bridal Reflections NYC carry them.
Ooowee.. an updated wedding video! The process of picking a dress will be a roller coaster that you’ll look back at in bliss. Vivienne Westwood would be a treat to see you pick, however I’m confident it will be a delight seeing you in whatever dress you pick. It’s interesting looking at a dress and when you try it, your feelings and thought process change. You’ll feel it in your soul when you find the dress you love. You might even cry. Six digits for Versace.. they’re not letting us go to rehab. Loved the video Cassie ~ Xx
Congratulations on your engagement! When I got engaged, I went to a few popular wedding dress shops in NYC (Kleinfeld, RK Bridal, Designer Loft, L'Fay, etc.). I purchased a wedding dress at RK Bridal and ended up cancelling it because although it was classic, it wasn't the right one. I found my beautiful dress at L'Fay. It was a Berta dress with a cape (I bought the cape first because it was so me, lol). Absolutely stunning, no regrets. Even to this day, I got married 5 years ago, I think my dress was the most perfect dress for me and I love it just the same as I did when I first saw it. Wedding dress shopping can be tiresome but remember to always listen to your gut!💍
Food for thought. You can LOVE Vivienne Westwood or another designer and not end up in one of their dresses. You need that "this is it moment"! Don't put restrictions on yourself. You are a beautiful young woman, Cassie. The right dress, and you will look and feel fabulous! My son is getting married at the beginning of November. We found his fiancee's dress - a designer sample - and we were all in tears. Just knew it was the one. This was after a long day of trying on beautiful wedding gowns that looked great but just weren't the one. You take a breath and carry on, young lady. You will find "the one"! How fun that we get to tag along on this journey with you! Enjoy it!
My first appointment I came home crying from disappointment. I got lucky and found my dress at a smaller boutique in an absolutely gorgeous Sophia Tolli. It was champagne color, small train, crystal waist, with tiny crystals all over, and lace, and then a matching lace veil….I felt like a princess! You will find your dress, and when you do, you will cry and you will look at a picture of that dress every single day with excitement for your big day. Stay true to what YOU feel beautiful in, not what others expect of you, that’s my advice. Have a great time searching! Make note of what you think looks good and what doesn’t and give those notes to each person that helps you. You WILL find your dress ✨💖
This is so true on the stark white! My bridal dress I found was a champagne/gold satin and it was soo soft, comfortable, romantic and old Hollywood glam I saw it across the room and knew I had to try it on and I felt so beautiful in it! It was my dream wedding dress designer since I was 14 I got it from a woman who sold dresses out of her home and she said I've been waiting for someone to buy this dress I'll give it to you for $200. It was the biggest blessing and all my experiences elsewhere I felt like you did "will I ever find what I like?" And it's emotional. Can't wait for your video of the magical story of when you finally find it and you will love the story that comes with it!
Have you tried ivory color for your dress? Most of the wedding shops that I went to had exclusively ivory. Hardly anyone had stark white white. It looks really nice and still wedding but not so in your face. Really tho u look good in them all❤❤
I know how you feel! I dont want my dress to feel like a wedding dress at all! I’ve ended up going for something that’s not white, lacy or satin and I’m NOT doing a mesh veil.
I know that when you don’t feel your best there’s nothing anyone can say to can change your mind but i still have to say it: you looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL in ALL of those dresses! And if you look this good in ones you hate I cannot wait to see how you look the dress you end up choosing 🤍
Omg 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏when I saw the thumbnail I gasped 😃 it’s just so exciting & I love being along for the ride ❤️🩵🩷💚🧡💜 Just remembered there IS a dress out there for you. DO NOT compromise!! You 1000% deserve to look & feel your best on your special day 🕊️💒💍🍰🍷👰🏻♀️
I feel the same about strapless wedding gowns. They always remind me of someone wearing a towel after a shower. I agree with you with all those you tried on. Something about them was like trying too hard. Have you looked at Victoria Beckham dresses? They are very classic yet a certain edge imo. Hope you find the one that you connect with. Don’t settle on your big day. ❤
My BFF sent me a pic of her dress (we lived in different countries) and I hated it, so said something like “if you love it honey, I love it” she knew me well enough to know that I hated it, I certainly didn’t want to hurt her but I wasn’t going to lie to her either. I arrived in Texas for her wedding and she said we are going somewhere but she wouldn’t tell me where. We arrived at a wedding dress shop, I was somewhat confused. Anyway she went into the changing room and came out in a dress that promptly made me cry, it was gorgeous… she said “now that’s the reaction I want” we both laughed and she looked incredible on the day ❤ you’ll find the dress lovely, soak it all in and go with your gut. xx
I completely get what you mean about all satin white dresses. Not my thing either. I’m a 2024 bride and my dress is a mix of lace and pearl/crystal embellishments.
There will be so many feelings during this process. It's a major life event. But also, our society has put, frankly, an absurd amount of importance around the wedding day - the dress, the cake, the decorations, and on and on. It's a bit of a racket. Because at the end of the day, it is just one day - one party, and what is really important and life changing, life defining are all of the days that come after it. Sending all of the positive and calm energy your way.
I mean, just looking at you trying those wedding dress just made me teared up you’re so beautiful you look just like angel. I just cannot wait for you to have your wedding dress. I think you’re gonna look the most beautiful bride in the world .
The first dress I tried ended up being THE ONE. Shocked the hell out of me. The boutique was around the corner from my job and I stopped in without an appointment. It was a weekday and they weren't busy so they let me browse. I didn't see anything on the floor that called to me. I wandered towards the fitting area and saw a dress hanging back there where someone had pulled it to try. As soon as I saw it, I KNEW. That was the only dress I tried there. I did my due diligence and looked at several other boutiques but came back to dress #1.
How fun! Not getting married anytime soon but have just attended a wedding last week. It’s nice to know what the you by rate is like for Viv but none of those dresses are very you at all! I would have been shocked if you really fell for them
Thank you, put those bridal companies like Gucci in their place! That price was a college degree at an Ivy League. It’s about the event and not the dress (well- yes it is about the dress - too an extent!) good for you for letting yourself have the experience. The no pictures is stupid! You are right on with that! I don’t like strapless either. Mine had off the shoulder cap sleeves. You have a great ability to rationalize through the process- stay true to yourself and don’t cave because you feel like it needs to “look like a typical wedding dress”.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I am sure that other women probably have the same feelings. It isn't always easy to find the right dress that feels right on you. I am sure that this is just part of the journey and that your dream dress will be found/created.
So exciting! I’m at the exact same stage. 💯 agree on the “trying on dresses” stage, I sort of miss it now. So strange, and like it’s just a dress. Even so, a little “sad” that chapter is done. I ended up trying 40 dresses in 6 different salons (and I revisited two of them)…😅The result was 4 dresses which I all very loved (yet they were somewhat very different in terms of fabric ~ either very plain or very extra), so I’ve decided now to design my own to combine them two 😅🙌
Hi there thanks for sharing this experience. I don't know why but I somehow feel you will look amazing in a Christian Siraino custom made. Hope he's on your list to try out wedding dresses. Have a wonderful wedding dress making journey ❤❤
When I went dress shopping everyone kept asking what I wanted but I was really struggling with not knowing since I have never tried one on! I liked certain styles that wound up looking terrible on me. Try everything! A wedding dress is really a process of elimination. You now know a plain white satin is not you! Keep the videos coming!! Best of luck!! ❤
Understand !!!! I had the same feeling and wondered if I wasn’t bridal. I wanted the beauty without the costume or gimmicky, feeling. Don’t worry……. You will find it and you won’t have to compromise one thing at all.
Oh Cassie! You are going out of your confort zone in this process. I got married 5 years ago, and I took only my mom to the dress appointment because I wanted to chose fast and leave. But once I saw what I wanted (like the 8th dress haha), I felt safe and happy! And you will too in your day!
Wedding dress designers are fabulous, a wedding gown is such a unique garment that does not always transpose its self from fashion designers, go to Kleinfelds and go wild in the isles.❤
I knew what i did NOT want (huge gown princess style dresses) and I wasn't pretty sure on what i would choose until i saw a dress in a window shop. I stared at it and right away i made my choice. I went inside asking for informations, met a rude sales person but that didn't stop me 😂 i bought it directly from the atelier, I tried different styles but I went home with the first that i saw.
Omg! I just realized that you look like Rita Ora and vice versatility!!!! Has anyone ever told you that? You guys are doppelgängers!!!! I wish I could find mine 😊
Cassie you are looking too too too adorable in wedding dress and your vlogs are too too satisfying you are my inspiration and I wish you have a wonderful week ahead💖💖😀
I know exactly how you feel about "too bridal" because I didn't wear a veil at my wedding for that reason! My wedding dress was a bias-cut 1930's style dress that had lace from the torso up, but petered out to plain silk from the waist down.
My dress was Alfred Angelo cost £750, 30 years ago. That was a LOT of money for us then. We had a payment plan set up. Still fits me now and looks beautiful. If i had the room id display it ❤
Onwards n upwards Cas ❤ you WILL find your dress and “those” emotions will come thru - u gonna have hair up and enveloped in tiny crystals? Soo excited to see ur preps 🥰 x x x
I actually teared up,I'm soooo excited for you and Nee! 🌹🌹🌹 when you said when tried on one of those dresses n felt like I need to get me out of this dress,it reminded of when Carrie broke out in hives when she tried on wedding dresses when she was engaged to Aiden. 😂
OMG queen Cassie is having her Carrie Bradshaw trying on Vivienne Westwood wedding gowns and showing us when she becomes a gorgeous bride 👰♂ 😍 💖 💕 💗 ❤️ 👰♀!!!
Aaahhh what an experience!! 🙈
@CassieThorpe can't wait to see you trying on more weddings gowns!
Did you take mum with you?
FYI I don’t care what you say you looked beautiful in all of them
I had the exact same experience. After many tries at a white dress, I ended up getting married in a black and gold Marchesa gown. It was me. And it was perfect. Do what makes you happy, babe. ❤

I felt like I was about to do just that and have to play along with it 😂 glad it’s not just me who’s felt this way though! 💖
I bawled my eyes out trying on wedding dresses because I felt “weird” so I went in a more me direction Embroidered pink and gold dress with long sleeves and lace 😊
I’m here for a wedding series 💚💚💚💚💚💚

I lacey white or cream turtleneck long sleeve sounds very elegant and not too mainstream
Cassie I could totally see you w a more form fitting dress w lacey sleeves and a button up back w a daring neckline and corset - all the best!

I was expecting Cassie to be head-to-toe dripping in metallics, crystals, bedazzles and everything a magpie would steal!

Maybe she’ll wear a Kente?
Vera Wang 💯 2023.bride collection. Your dress is there Cassie!!! Totally you.
So excited to see more wedding content!!! We’re here for you Cassie!!
How beautiful you looked I can’t wait to see your chosen dress when the time comes ❤
Definitely! 💖
You’re so right! I’ll know it when I find it! And the Versace price almost killed me off 😂💖
When you try on the right dtess you will know it's the one.Enjoy the experience and take your time.
Enjoy it!
I fell in love with my gown in a bridal magazine. I just knew. You will too.
Fun times!
One suggestion, stark white was not my friend either. You might try of white or cream. That made all the difference for me
I’m a minimalist these days but my maximalist alter ego is definitely present. Happy to represent.
What a beautiful time in your life.. enjoy every minute
Thank you so much 🥹💖
This is so true on the stark white!
Awww what a sweet video ❤ You will be a stunning bride, Cassie 🎉
Aahhh thank you so much!
I’m literally in tears 🥹🥹 you look beautiful I’m so excited for you you
Casssssieeeee! 58 seconds in and i wanna cry! YOURE GETTING MARRIED!!!! ahhh *jumps up and down*!!!
Omg 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏when I saw the thumbnail I gasped 😃 it’s just so exciting & I love being along for the ride ❤️🩵🩷💚🧡💜 Just remembered there IS a dress out there for you. DO NOT compromise!! You 1000% deserve to look & feel your best on your special day 🕊️💒💍🍰🍷👰🏻♀️
You’re on the right track get what you fell works for you…….even if it isn’t a traditional wedding dress. You wedding and you have to live with it.😊
I feel the same about strapless wedding gowns.
I see you in a clean, sleek, long sleeve turtleneck gown.
Hair snatched back......amazing ❤
And we are here for it!!!
I mean, just looking at you trying those wedding dress just made me teared up you’re so beautiful you look just like angel. I just cannot wait for you to have your wedding dress. I think you’re gonna look the most beautiful bride in the world .
Try a sparkling veil not so much tiara but subtle raised with little height. You will find the dress, thanks for sharing your journey 😅😊
Are you planning a Kleinfield visit? I mean you already are in NY! I think that is a good oportunity for you to try different styles!
I would have been shocked if you really fell for them
CAAASSIIEEEE !!! I can’t contain my excitement !!! 🎉
🙈🙈🙈💖
I ended up trying 40 dresses in 6 different salons (and I revisited two of them)…😅The result was 4 dresses which I all very loved (yet they were somewhat very different in terms of fabric ~ either very plain or very extra), so I’ve decided now to design my own to combine them two 😅🙌
❤❤❤ It is so nice that you are sharing this process with us!!! ❤❤❤ enjoy it! 🥂
Can't wait for when you put on a certain dress and realize it's "the one". Thank you so much for bringing us along Cassie! ❤
The “say yes to the dress” moment ;)
I see you in “logo ho”!!! Go all out and do you! I can’t wait to see it! 😍😍😍😍😌
Loved this and soo helpful! About to start dress shopping too eek
8:29 OMG you look amazing on this one! plus it's giving body ody ody😁😘
OMG my whole heart! We are fully growing up 🥰
😭😭😭🥰
Yay! Thank you!💖
CASSIE STOP I AM SCREAMING THIS IS SO WONDERFUL 😪😪😪😪😪😪😪🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
Aahhh thank you so much 💖💖💖
