    I do like the Zeekr 001, but im more sceptical with the software and stuff like that. Polestar 4 was my favourite, much better seats in P4, but not bad in 001 either. I think the Zeekr oo1 in Norway wil be a bit cheaper though, so I think it will be a much better buy pricewise, But both are beautiful cars and very practical ones with lots of space. What was your favourite Kris ?

    This was actually supposed to be a Lynk & Co hence the Lynk & Co design of the 001 which has nothing to see with the X or 009

    This car is at the top of my watch list. Its a shame they ditched the 140kwh battery in real production for some reason. Models they can deliver (in China) are either with 95 or 100kwh battery. The only lots with 140khw battery was the one they did the test drive on (832km real range).

    2000 kg towing was surprising. And more than good enough for the majority of people thinking about this one, to be honest.

    Seems closer to a shooting brake, for some reason I had remembered it as a wagon lol.
    Also says a lot that this isn't exactly a new car for China.

    Supposed to bring out a Tesla model y rival this year. Had a look at some of the spy pictures will be some car. 001 way better for me than the polestar4. Hopefully be able to buy here in the uk by the end of the year. Look forward to your review had a look on some China reviews and it’s a thirsty car. Zeekr has also has the golden battery which is better than the new CATL battery. China tech is way ahead of Europe .

    9:16 Common misunderstanding that comes up often. Reality is the majority of the Chinese middle class cannot afford a chauffeur. It's that when they buy a car, it's likely the only car in the house that's supposed to haul around an extensive family. So space be paramount here.
    Anyway this car came out 2 years before the Polestar 4 was announced and is due for a major facelift Q2 this year. Now is definitely not the prime time for one if you're in the market.

      Polestar 4 is not going to sell well. It's too pricey for what it offers. They haven't adjusted the price with the late market price cuts. Polestar is doomed

    in China, the wife sit in the back and she owns you. Therefore when buying a car, the back seat is the most important aspect.

    I tried the Zeekr 001 and to be honest it was not that great a drive. It was ok but nothing more. Feels like good quality inside but the drive felt like it was only half finished. I am looking forward to trying the Polestar 4 which i believe will be a much more of a drivers car. I do believe Polestar will be the better choice, atleast for me😊

      Polestar is slower by quite a bit, especially considering you are paying more & then even more for the performance model and its still slower, that does not make it look good at all.

      @@philipkemp5129 Honest question, is it really? Because both cars have the same motors and battery, same 0-60 times on paper as well. Shouldn't their speed be... the same?
      Keeping in mind i've not driven either, can only judge what's written on paper but the paper says they are equal in terms of speed.
      P.S. would be curious to get comparisons because base prices are similar but if you spec the cars up, you get way more for your money in the zeekr (top spec is under 70k euros) than the polestar (top spec is at around 90k euros) and the specs are nearly identical.

      @@TradingGeniuz so is that the Chinese version that you have driven or the European version? I saw a review of the European version that was near dangerous to drive because the ADAS was buggy. I am not saying it is a bad car, i like it very much but i still think Polestar put alot more energy into making a complete driving experience where they will have trimmed every aspect of the car.

      I think too many people get mixed up about platform and brands. A lot of cars can share the same platform and can even have similar numbers but feel quite different. While the Zeekr may share with Polestar the platform, that doesn't mean the Polestar feels and drives and steers and brakes like the Zeekr. The Polestar has the same framework but quite different details inside. Odd thing is the Zeekr was designed in Sweden, not China.

      @@e-redj I talked to the engineer at Zeekr who confirmed this, but a simple Google search is all you need: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeekr_001
      Old? 001 was launched at the end of 2021 and the Polestar 4 one and half year later. Not sure how that is old?

      ⁠@@KrisRifaAs I’ve said, I believe you. Nevertheless this is my reasoning behind considering the 001 and old car.
      We first heard about the 001 at the end of 2020, at that time it was a Link&Co hence the toad 🐸 face. The PS4 was presented last year but is entering the European market in 2024. Those 3-4 years are a whole car generation in the current EV world, that’s why I consider the 001 an old car. And to be fair, the 007 was presented a few weeks after the PS4 and it is based on a completely new platform with an 800V architecture, so even for ZEEKR the 001 is the “old” car.

    I think you are a very good EV - CZcamsr but i cant watch more than 3 minutes before i get motion-sickness. Please do something about the camera steediness :)

      I can understand why, it short time they have. But the camera isn’t any good, quite soft and poor dynamic range. I bet iPhone should do better.

      @@catmanscarchannel I have a new and unexperienced camera operator handling the camera for the first time. Hopefully she will get better with more practice. This was shot on a Sony A7C with a Tamron 20-40mm F2.8. Which is a million times better than any iPhone. The lens alone cost what an entire iPhone cost and with an Aperture of F2.8 on a full -frame body this allows dynamic range far superior to an iPhone. It is very challenging to film in a low lit location especially the interiors. But if filmed on an iPhone this would look awful.

    I hate how you can see through frame in the corner of the front side windows. The other zeeker was also like that. Looks horrible

    Maybe it'll translate better in a deep dive video, but I'm not impressed with this vehicle. The outside is ugly and the inside seems garish. I very much prefer the simplicity/minimalism of Polestar.
