Same thing happened to me a couple days ago. Searched on utube and found your site. Got right on Sewing parts on line and Ordered the same part for my Elna 925. It came in the mail yesterday. Yes it was super easy and fast.Great video. Thanks I am so glad that part hasn’t changed in all the years. I bought my machine about 20 years ago.
At first I was stumped why this didn’t work for me. Then I remembered that the filter said she stuck a small piece onto the new lifter bar. My machine was missing this! I found the part online at sewing parts online and ordered that too. It’s called “Knob Spring, Elna #395054-50”
Great video and researching alternative to taking it in for repair. I have a white serger and couldn't use it for the longest because I didn't know how to operate it and when I started using it it just stopped working one day and I took it in to the store and it cost me $180 to fix it, should have done some research 😀😀

I have the same serger,and I need fix the timing,cause a technician charger almost the machine cost.....and I bought it used on ebay,I have repaired my old serger,but this elna is a little different. You will help many people,because in yahoo elna group there are many people with this same problem,and there are no videos in youtube either..not with elna's I would be absolutely grateful...help me please!!
