When my youngest grandson was born when I held him for the first time my heart was so full of love
When I became an uncle it was huge for me however I can only imagine what my parents were feeling when their granddaughter was born. My niece is a beautiful part of the family and my sister is planning on having more in the future. My grandmother who is almost 90 years old was thrilled about her first great grandchild. I love the joy my niece has brought to my family.

I only had one grandparent alive. My nan. I love her so much and miss her even more. Both my grandfather's died either before I was born or when I was very young. My other grandmother is dead to me after she told my uncle at my dad's funeral that she wishes it was him dead and not my dad. I wish dad was still here but saying that to her own son is evil to me. Plus she was never in my life. First time I met her was at dad's funeral.
But my nan. Well what a woman. She was so strong so special so important to me. I'm grateful to have had the chance to live with and care for her the last 2 years of her life.

I leave home with my daughter every morning at 5:45am so that I can get to my mom's place by 6:15am just so she can see her granddaughter for 15mins as she leaves for work by 6:30am and she loves seeing her "Ma" as well as the sweets in the little treasure chest on the table.

The lady that dropped her kids off at grandmas house and ran was me a long time ago with my 2 oldest kids 🤣. She was always asking me what they were doing so I packed their bag and dropped them off at her house knocked on the door and ran back to the car 🤣. She called me asking where I was going and why I dropped my kids off like that. I said who is this I mean no speaka no engli 🤣. She burst out laughing and said you better come get yo kids or I’m bringing them to you. I said I won’t be home granny and she said well they will be at yo momma house then. Man I miss my granny cause that lady kept me laughing

For my first grandchild the hospital was restricting visits due to Covid. I saw her at 2 days old and she stole my heart even before she was born. I would go see my daughter and talk to my granddaughter while she was in the womb.
Unfortunately not all families live nearby or maybe there was an illness that they could not meet earlier.
