Informative review especially the contrast with the last 300RR you test rode. However, I don't ride with my helmet one foot above the seat or resting on the left grip. Consequently I prefer a helmet cam view. I know all the cool kids are doing it, but I would be happy to see the chest cam and wrist cam go completely away...
The bald guy weighed the 2020 KTM at 239.5 and the Beta 300RR at 244 for those curious. Both with full tanks. Beta holds about 3 tenths of a gallon more [about 2 lbs.] and has a headlight.
The bald guy lmao hahahahah
I have one on order and now I'm more excited, thanks for the video brother!!
Same
Congrats dude
Nice commentary. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the review. I'm loving my 2021 300. Bonus : In my state it's easy to get insured and plated for fire roads and transitions... Rocky Mountain High
Love my Beta 300
I easily sold my 2015 300 race edition, it had a lot of hours on it and still ran great. . A 2021 race edition is on order now.
I was wondering about this bike. Thanks for the review. I'm an old guy who has lost that need for competition. I would go with the Xtrainer. I'll keep checking back to see if you get on a Xtrainer and share your thoughts.
I'm 71 and had a 3015 300 race edition I sold quite easily. My 2021 is on order.
The Xtrainer I got for my wife is the easiest to ride bike I’ve ever ridden. Of course high speed whoops it gets scary but low speed technical terrain it excels
Jimmy, you looked a little out of balance on that ride. Maybe you need to start on the booze again to bring you back to equilibrium. On a real note, that wrist camera angle is giving me motion sickness. Good info as always, just hoping the production quality catches up, as I’m sure it will with time.
Agreed on the wrist camera angle!!
Did Beta solve the main bearing issues for the 2021 models? And is the power band a violet hit like motocross two strokes?
Thanks for all the tests you do! Is the seat height of this bike much lower than a KTM XC-W?
It is not. Basically the same
Love your reviews.
But, not a fan of the wrist or chest mount views. Best view comes from helmet chin mount. IMO. Thx for the review!!!
How close is the RR 300 to the KTM 300 XCW? Same ball park?
Will give the full detailed answer on Tech Talk Taco Tuesday #97
@@DirtBikeTest was it on #97?
👍
So isn’t the weight pretty much the same as all the other 300’s???
It, at the time, was a lot heavier than KTM 300s
Sounds like Jimmy is transmitting from dark side of the moon,or a basement
Leaning toward Beta as it seems like KTM is cheaping out of a lot of little things on their bikes, like weak plastics. I have a 2013 KTM 350 EXC F and it to me was built when KTM was really out to impress, now they have huge following so they slowly start cheaping out on the small details.
reply on TTTT #97 tonight!
Love my '17 300 RR Race Edition. I've raced it a bunch and it still runs great. Easy to rebuild bottom end after a Louisiana swamp fest. See case splitting here... czcams.com/video/Y8vsCeQRnSo/video.html
2 stroke or 4
??????????
Nauseating video to watch with the camera angle.
Horrible audio
Thanks for the informative and constructive comment, we'll use your audio set up next time. What was it again?
A Lavalier mic to the GoPro via GoPro microphone adapter.
