Was a joy getting hunted by you out there! Glad my only cameo was your cover photo😂😂 Was a fun experience all the way from the USA. Track was wild, gp shift was entertaining, and the bike was down right nasty!!! Hope to see you boys on the next one. Our dinner chats were worth the trio on its own😂
Fagan absolutely nails the POV footage... Fucking gorgeous camera angle, mega sound. I mean, you can get a stiffy by the engine sound, and yet still hear the talking just fine. Would love to get a video on helmet cam/audio setup from the master.
@FortyFourTeeth you could see his genuine delight and excitement when he was discussing the bike. That's what designers, and engineers need, real passion, not just building by committee with profit the goal. It must be a buzz to put an event on like that, and see customers blown away by your hard work and talent.
watching this in 4k. track looks so smooth and that rc is incredible. never ridden one but i have feeling nothing feels like the rc. thanks for the awesome video!
Seems to show in a Moto2 chassis way that handling and engine connection delivers outstanding riding joy and lap times. I wonder if the coming MotoGP 850cc capacity will enable that focus or make the same mistakes of the former 800cc class. I'm hopeful that KTM will get that correct, since they have this RC 8C and brilliant MotoGP prototypes to put into the mix.. Time to go back to 750cc WSBK too, which is the logical conclusion of the new MotoGP rules and Dorna running both series!
They certainly are lovely things. Most people don't need a 200bhp weapon and there is a huge amount of riders on litre bikes that really struggle on track with them. Fair play on the 1:51s, I was doing 2:01's there a few days before you on my 120bhp bike (vids on my channel!) and could only dream of going that fast round there.
@@TheInfantry98 Not really but to ride one properly and at least to some of its potential round a track takes some skill. There many riders at trackdays who hold me up on them but i do enjoy riding round the outside of them on my old slow nearly ~30 year bista bike. I'll get a modern litre track bike this year or next year but I'm not really that bothered to be honest.
@@TheInfantry98You should probably go out, see the world, and touch a boobie for the first time in your life to less feel the necessity of being an absolute tool and ridicule yourself in all comment sections of good motorcycle sport videos on youtube

MCN didn't even get a look in! You guys are lucky and well and truly deserve this top treatment👍🏻! I hope to see one over here on UK track in my group. All it needs is a tank extender and its all ready for me to ride please!! 🙏👍🏻👊🏻
What a bike - the handling/sensible power/corner speed is exactly why I’ve gone back from my 2021 Tuono to a 2011 675r - wish it had an extra 15bhp, the electronics & could shed 35kgs😅🤔💸💸💸😂
Cheers Al, that was a proper insight into the minds of those nutty professors at KTM, the price is clearly justifiable but out of most peoples range. Gonna look under the tank of my SDR, see if I can fit one of those cute air filters in, LOL
shop in my country got one in stock i see , for the same money as a new duc v4s . this weights as much as my sumo but with double the power , must be amazing to brake into corners
I am not sure. 135hp is crank not wheel, I believe. An Acra+mapping can increase the power of an old SM 990 to 130ish . The old 990SDR was stronger so I can imagine that it can be easily tuned to produce 135+hp and there the torque will be also around 100Nm.
@Teleolution I have a 990 2007 and has a powercommander, K&N and LeoVince exhaust. Had it on the dyno a month ago and it has around 130hp at the crank (after tuning/mapping the engine). But there should be more in there if you really go for it.
I also saw a 990 on a dyno a month ago. PC+Akra (with the dB killer and catalytic converters) without open air filter. 127 HP. The fun starts when you start to rebuild the engine. It can easily make more. But again the old SDR was claimed to be around 135 so I guess it does not need much to reach 140hp. And we are talking about an old (and nowadays) not too big torquey V2 engine.
Awesome! Yes, you don’t need 200+ hp bikes for quick lap times. Take my old home racetrack as an example. Phillip Island. Bothe premium devisions (WSB / MotoGP). These today are only a couple of seconds faster than the bikes from the 90’s, yes back then they were also smaller in displacement and the 2-strokes from the 500’s, yet when you also factor in zero rider aids and rubber that’s not as good as what’s on offer today then the lap times would be closer. Still not as fast and PI isn’t a small track but it just proves that total horsepower isn’t everything. Especially for the average rider!
I felt sad for ya having to leave Jerez, not any more You lucky lucky B...Nice lookin machiene, great review, will put it on the if I win the lotto list haha
Love it, 142kg is amazing, I’m guessing around 284kg with rider? Seriously, lucky man, would I love a blast around there on that 😜 I’m guessing if they release a road version it will blow the middleweight sector apart, put my name down for one 🤗
