Ok, let’s get one thing up front and straight about Lauren. This person is EXTREMELY talented on all levels of vocals in terms of music. This is insane.. I’ve never heard of her in my life, and just watched 2 videos, and I’m blown away by the talent and the different levels of tones she’s capable of putting out. Music is my life. It always has been and I respect all genres of music; old, new, hard, soft. Doesn’t matter. That being said, I am very particular when it comes to the styles and tastes of what I like the most and listen to. I listen to literally all aspects of a single song that lets me know if I like it or not. If I dig it, it’s getting downloaded and going on my playlist. I’d say vocals are probably the biggest part of a song in general that will determine if I like it or don’t. Lauren’s flow is so diverse for me and I just love everything about her vocals. I saw another video about people discriminating against “female vocalist”. That’s literally the dumbest thing anyone in that has a true passion for music can even debate or bring up as a topic of discussion. Really, who honestly gives a f*#k if it’s a male singing a song or female singing a song? Those people are idiots and probably have horrible taste in music and only allows themselves to limit their “music selection”. Just watching a couple of Lauren’s videos, I can already say that she sounds better than a lot of male vocalist that I’ve heard. The sex discrimination when it comes to music is absurd. Anyone that truly appreciates music for what it is will instantly look past what sex each member performing the song is. I appreciate the members in general, their own talents, and the way the song sounds overall as a team. I don’t X out of a song just bc I start hearing a female sing a song a certain way. That’s just stupid. Now, I didn’t necessarily grow up listening to music that had a lot of female vocalist. I think one of the first bands I heard with a female vocalist is Evanescence. I grew up listening to P.O.D, Papa Roach, System Of A Down, Slipknot, MXPX, Sum 41, Disturbed, Underøath, etc, etc. It’s not bc I didn’t like female vocalist, but it was just that I didn’t know of any bands at the time that so happened to have a vocalist that was a female. None of that mattered to me. I just knew, if I liked a song or a band, I’m going to buy their cd regardless of who is singing.. I didn’t even know that Lauren was in a band. I thought she just did covers. So, now I’m going to definitely check out her band, Red Handed Denial. Without even knowing what they sound like, I’m pretty sure I’m going to dig their music and add it to my playlist based on just hearing Lauren’s vocals through covers she does. I mean, seriously, her talent is undeniably recognizable. I was all 👀 when I heard some of these covers. I’m a drummer, not in a band, but if I was blessed enough to be in one, I’d pick Lauren over a lot of other vocalist bc I see what she has to offer and frankly, that’s sh!*s right up my ally. 🙌🏼 Keep doing what you’re doing, Lauren. Don’t listen to all of these negative people with their negative comments. Do what you do bc you love doing it and bc it makes you happy. People are going to talk crap regardless if you’re successful or not. There’s really no point on even giving them your time. You have my support if nothing else and keep singing your heart out for others. Can’t wait to see what else you and your band have in store for the future. 🤘🏼🖤

Highly recommend checking out Chris Liepe on CZcams. His explanation of using your diaphragm as "it should feel like you're using you're poop muscles" sounds so stupid but it was legitimately such a game changer for understanding what it should feel like, lol.

Benjamin Burnley has been SOO supportive of women in rock and it makes me love him even more. Half his openers last year were female led rock bands and he encourages his fans to be support them too and become rockers. PS I can not stop fangirling over you!! I love your look bc it’s proves that you don’t need heavy makeup or anything else crazy to be metal. I look at you and I’m like “she’s metal”. Like even compared to halocene (who’s great) but she’ll go full makeup theatrics and it’s cool cuz that’s her thing, but dude - I love that you don’t.
Bass is definitely my next favorite after vocals, I think you'd have a lot of fun with it! It's a blast whenever you're playing in the pocket and grooving with a solid drummer IMO.

Hello, from Manitoba! For the past couple of years, I've become more and more facinated with female singers, especially in the "heavy" genre. And I completely agree, that the constant promotion "female fronted", etc. Doesn't help it at all.

I met Rody when PTH toured South Africa. Such a down to earth guy. The whole band, just a bunch of great guys. They just came to the bar after the show and started chatting to the fans. Unfortunately a few years later when Periphery also toured here and played at the same venue they did not join the fans afterwards :(

I'm glad you get mostly positive feedback about the genre you sing in, and just so you know your vocals (and awesome scream) are the sole draw I've had into metal. I LOVE RHD & Crazy88 bc of your AH-MAY-ZING vocals. 🙌 Always been into rock, but never liked the screaming stuff before I stumbled across your music, and I've now bought every album of RHD & Crazy88, and a number of solos and covers as well. You're talented AF and I look forward to hearing whatever music you want to put out there.

I too listen to non-metal music more than metal. I enjoy metal at times, but pop-punk is my go to and EDM is also a mainstay or whatever Flume or Bassnectar is labeled.

I actually am drawn to hard rock/metal bands with female lead vocal more than typical male because it’s unique. Of course, you have to be good, because as you mentioned, it’s about the music at the end of the day.
