Exactly to whoever shouted out : “WHO BROKE IT, THEN?”
    Exactly.
Tories have the audacity to stand there and act like they’ve only just come into power and acting like Labour was incharge for 13years & ripping the country to shreds. The audacity from the tories. Funny how tories don’t even mention that Rwanda get £169,000 per immigrant and Rwanda can send them back here happily. Couldn’t make it up.

What the Tories don't say is that before Brexit, the French actively stopped the boat crossings and detained refugees at purpose built detention centres cross channel. However, due to Brexit and the Tories toxic anti EU rhetoric this deal lapsed and now the French let them cross unimpeded.

I do want to stop the boats. I want asylum seekers to have safe routes here and when they get here I want them to be treated with dignity and respect, not as though they're something that Cruella Braverman has stepped in. I want them to be processed quickly and efficiently so that those who are successful in their applications can become valued, contributing members of British society.
