    Very very nice direction things are going in. Some things I'd love is TKP trucks, hollows, (as opposed to RKP). Because manual grinds are sketch with the kingpin facing that way.
    Also smaller wheels. 65mm tops, 50 - 65 region. Secondly experiment with harder durometeres, 90a, 97a, 99 even. I'm talking a transition eskate board. Something purely for the skatepark. I know no brakes with hard durometeres but don't need them in the skatepark.
    Also truck widths, I hate wheels that stick out. Would be great to have options with narrower trucks where the wheels are parallel with the deck or even just out of sight from above. Currently all the boards the wheels stick out so so far.
    Battery enclosure, see Bustin Boards, try flat and balanced for grinds on.
    A kick nose would be awesome too .
    Love the direction this boards gone in but Bustin and a french eskate company already have equal boards to this. If you want to do something really different experiment with what I said above. Transition eskating is so much fun. Can skate lines you can't on a non electric. And it helps me progress on non electric having a throttle. Speed is your friend on transition.
    Overall this board looks great just it's been done. Wanna do something different those are the things that haven't been done yet. And a board like that would appeal to transition and street style skaters. The longboard market is saturated. Short, trick and transition board market is barely tapped into.

    Glad to see a review on this!
    Main questions are, what's the top speed and exact battery Ah capacity, can it climb any hills?
    I'm comparing it to crappy 12-15mph single hub 2ah £150 esk8's for kids...
    Either way, glad to see a decent kids design from known brands!

    • @DrewElia

    Ever since switching to belt drive esk8 I told myself I’d never go back to hub motors. I’m looking for something to get me to the train and the train to work and this seems to be priced correctly and I trust exway with their hub motors. It meets my specific use case but also checking out what’s on the used market for a belt drive equivalent

    Are the hub motors standard size? Is it possible to upgrade it to cloudwheel donuts 105 mm? Would probably have to add risers as well…
    How much range did you get? I am approximately your weight, Ripple seems interesting to me as a secondary board, for having in my car.

      No you’re not able to upgrade the wheels. I said in the review I was getting 5-6 miles of mixed riding. Little pushing. Little speed rips. Just enjoying the ride but its a perfect kind of last mile commute

    Travel friendly battery but I’m wondering if you have to remove it before travel. I find you can get away with it more once you see the board separated from the battery. Nice board over all, nice review.

    • @KnoxAnder
      @KnoxAnder Před 10 měsíci +1

      Also, I’ve never rode a hub motor board. The wheels look thin, is that general for most hub motor wheels and will the wear down?

    • @DrewElia
      @DrewElia  Před 10 měsíci

      It depends on the airline, all batteries but be carry on, so the bird will be a carry on as well. You have to check with your airline company before travel, and make sure it’s outlined. When I traveled with my exway wave, I even printed out the regulations and kept them in my backpack just for insurance 😂

    • @DrewElia
