I did Seussical for about 8 months(not performing al 8 months, but it was still running through my system) but I never got sick of it. We got a truckload of awards at two theatre conferences for it. It truly is a fun musical.
The Cat is simply brilliant. I've seen tons of performances in that role but the emotion and spontaneity he brings to the performance cannot be put into words. AMAZING!
This is a FANTASTIC recording of the show. And the person playing Horton sounds just like the actor at MY school! The voices are a nearly perfect match, how funny!
My school did Suessical The Musical. It was alot of fun. I was in the Ensemble. I played a female hunter, a fish, and a Who....we had a professional Choreagropher from New York.
I love the Horton in this production! And the Cat is too amazing for words! Haha, I like the clover... And I LOVE the Sour Kangaroo's attitude and voice! And I love the Wickershams! And the Cat dancing with them :) Haha I loved Mayzie's little mirror she was carrying when she entered, and her walk.
its accualy kind of funny because the sour kangaroo in this looks JUST LIKE our Mrs. Mayor... ironic! great job by the way, this is pretty high quality.

I played the SK and LOVED the part! This girl has the voice and the soul! loved it! I absolutely love your costume as well, my director put me in this tiny corset so it was sooooo difficult getting the breathe support you need to play any character, but especially this one! she's so loud and vivacious! LOVE IT!!
i've seen this whole musical once and the voices of horton, sour kangaroo, and the bird girls are very similar when comparing this one to the one i saw
Uh, i liked this version better than most of the ones on youtube. I liked the horton, he dosent look exactly the part, but he ca sing, some hortons look the part, but can sing. Id rather he can sing. A persons a person no matter how small! :)
I like how everyone comes on here and says what part they're going to play in this, like to justify loving it or something. That being said, I'm playing the Cat.

i'm really glad they chose not to dress horton up as an elephant, he is one of the few characters in this musical with depth, it kind of gives him a new level to be more human really good version!!
Kind of, you see there are three plots going on, 1: Horton Saviving the clover(horton is main). 2: jojo controling his "thinks" (Jojo is main). 3: Gertrude trying to impress horton (Gertrude is main). and the Cati in the Hat narrates it all.
@Pizzaman443 That's exactly what I though when my drama directer said we were doing seussical- what will we wear?! But soon after seeing a couple of scenes on youtube, I was relieved to see that the cat in the hat wasnt a big fluffy thing and horton wasn't wearing big ears ;)

i saw a production of this where the jungle beat was played on two toms. sounded pretty cool
i was the sour kangaroo as well, when my school did this as our musical. it was a challenging role :S

i was the sour kangaroo at my theater acdemy this summer. it was so much fun, but the shifting parts were really hard.
