Listen the way that blush showed up, did not disappoint🙌🏽. Now I’m trying to find balance with the liquid blushes. Even a dot gives the most pigment 😂
Juvias Place is a black owned business who aims their products to deeper skin tones. Of course fair light skinned people can use them but they’re meant to have a lot of pigment for darker skinned people so it can show up better. Because some blushes on the market don’t show that good on dark skin.

Definitely! a trick i use to get less product is tap lightly then wipe excess powder on the back of ur hand. repeat this until u get the desired look, that way youre only putting on small amounts, cause its so easy to overdo it for us pale ppl lol. id rather have an overpigmented blush than my shitty Benefit Dandelion that i have to dip the brush into 5 times just for something to show up on my almost paper white skin

Pigmented blush is good! It might not be for you if your skin is light but it is great for deep skin people.. I wish white influencers would stop complaining about pigmented blush because most blushes in the mateket are designed light and not pigmented for them.. let POC enjoy the few pigmented blushes that are available

Who cares? Genuinely. And FYI, black influencers also complain if a light colored blush doesn’t do well on their skin. So, white influencers can complain that dark blushes don’t do well on theirs. One group should never get a special privilege. Weird that you only call out one group of people.

I bought that Juvias Place pink duo blush in Vol. 4, which went viral on social media, and I haven’t tried it yet. I never had bubble gum pink blush before, but I can’t wait to check it out.

That Saie blush looks a LOT like the Maybelline bouncy blushes! (Rip). Would you say they are similar? I adored bouncy blush, and have yet to find something that I like as much 😭

They don't have the same texture or consistency. The bouncy blushes have a more powdery texture while Saie is more balmy

For cream or balm blushes …I use the elf perfect finish HD powder in clear….it is truly clear and I use a bit of it over balm or cream products works like a charm.💕

I cannot the Juvia's liquid blush to work! Arghhhh
Use a tiny bit. Either put in on your hand first and dab into it with a brush or blender. A little goes far. And if too much still, use translucent powder or your foundation brush over it to calm it down. Works every time.

Also try mixing it a bit with a little foundation on the back of your hand. Itll give you a much more natural color. A little bit of trial and error and you can figure out the perfect ratio

I also found it way too finicky and had to return it 😭 I’m not a huge makeup wearer and I think it may be better suited for people who are better skilled than I am

How about not reviewing blk makeup brands if you're ignorant? Juvia's place blushes are "too pigmented" because they're meant to show up on deeper and darker skin complexions.. Ya know, the skin tones that most makeup companies forget to include?
