- Here’s the updated version of “Canadian Jingles I remember”, but without McDonald’s & Midas.
Kingofrexdale once commented on my IGTV video that the video is cool except Midas & McDonald’s because they’re not Canadian. So Here’s the 2021 version of Canadian jingles with new ones (CNE, Home Hardware (2nd), Pizza Pizza, Swiss Chalet, 241 Pizza & redtag.ca)

This jingle is actually American. It was created by Sleep Country USA in the early 90s and the Canadian company licensed the name and song.

As an American who lives close to the Canadian border and is lucky enough to receive a few television channels, I humbly thank you for this trip down memory lane.

This is basically Ontario nostalgia. Here in BC, half of these aren't recognizable, but we'd have a few of our own that Ontarians might not know.
That Hakim commercial followed up by Sleep Country was a nostalgia train :')

I've lived in Quebec, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Ontario, and New Brunswick. For the most part they share all of these.

As an Alberta, some of these are super weird for instance we don't have pizza pizza, it's called pizza 73.
I remember seeing most of these ads in my home province of British Columbia. Mostly on Teletoon and YTV.

The Sleep Country jingle is actually American. It was written and used by Sleep Country USA. You can find some of their 90s commercials on CZcams.

@@blind_t2 In Canada we have Speedy Glass, US has Safelite and the uk has the “auto glass repair, autoglass replace”
BK Canada has “Whopper Whopper, Build Your Whopper” and BK USA has “Whopper Whopper Whopper Whopper”. So, basically, it’s two separate jingles, just for the same market.

These are going to be stuck in my head forever. Pizza Nova, Speedyglass, Koodo, Selloff Vacations, Got Junk, and the old Spence Diamonds are just memorable. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but Marineland had a great jingle.

I was singing along to all of these. Growing up in the GTA in the 2000s and 2010s, I knew nearly all of these, though some of the alternate jingles I didn't know, and I didn't know the 241Pizza Jingle

@@okjeffy6581 Honestly I can't remember it being all that cool. The animals were pretty depressed back then, the coolest thing about Marineland was the SkyScreamer or whatever that DropZone wannabe was called.

0:41: This sound... it doesn't matter how young you were. *Every* Canadian baby since they were born has this embedded in their brain somewhere. Even before your (if you're Canadian like me) brain began to remember at a certain age things you saw, you always remember this sound and it was the first thing you ever hear your audio memory replay even if all you remembered seeing is black. You heard this sound sometime and it was stored in your brain at one point, as if it's the first thing you ever remembered hearing in your life. That jingle is that memorable and identifiable, and to some, even scary.
