  • Here's my Game of Thrones Medley for french horn quintet and tuba. This piece includes songs like Winterfell, House Stark, Rains of Castamere and, of course, the Main Theme.
    I hope, you'll like it.
    Headphones recommended.
    Enjoy.

As someone who's primary instrument is horn, but recently switched to tuba, I absolutely love this. I will be showing this to my old section to see if we can all play together again.

It sounds so cheesy but you helped me to pick up my old horn again after having had a vague idea to play a GoT duett with a chellist. Thanks a lot!

I really love your videos! I found your channel just a few hours ago, but I'm already in love.
When I listened to your version of "Highland Cathedral" I loved it. I just remembered playing it myself.
I play the Trumpet for over ten years now, but I've always admired the French Horn.
It just sounds and looks so mighty.
So here comes a question for you: Would you please consider to play along to your MuseScore Sheets?
As much as I love the program, the beautiful sound of the actual Instrument just doesn't really come across.
    That's why I'm asking : )
    Keep up the great work!
    Much love from Switzerland!

Wow! Thank you so much for these nice words. I really aprreciate it.
I totally agree with your opinion on the program's horn sound and I'd definitely love to make my own french horn music videos. The problem is that I don't own any quality equipment for recording and I'm such a perfectionist, so I don't want to make it with some cheap microphone etc. If I started to record, I'd want it to be as good as posible.
I'm trying to save some money, so we'll see, maybe I will be able to give you some 'actual horn' music soon.
Once again, thank you so much for your comment and have a nice day❤

I wanted to ask you a question ...
I'm also an arranger (it should be noted that I'm still a beginner) ...
and I'm also doing a GOT piece ...
    And my question is...
would you allow me to copy the first 9 bars to include in my arrangement?
Thank you very much and I await your prompt response.

      Dear Ivan,
I probably wouldn't mind if you copied the arrangement. Thank you for asking before copying it.
      Have a nice day,
      Katie

Just curious, why did you use a tuba instead of horns in the bass register?

    • @KatiesWorld1
      @KatiesWorld1  Před 5 lety +2

It's quite low for an ordinary horn player, I'd say. And I also love when there is a strong bass base in music, here represented by tuba.
