Heart
Rafa: I don’t know, maybe me?
*OF COURSE ITS YOU RAFA COME ON*
He does have the heart no doubt there, however Djokovic can also be put into this column he always plays 150% and what Rafa has not experienced yet is that Djokovic always has crowd against him which is not easy to deal with on the court.
@@alexs7097 its djokovic's fault that the crowd does not like him
@@omerrasiuk2449 no its not
@@markom2837 yes it is
@@omerrasiuk2449 the crowd likes him, just not the western Europe crowd, because they hate him for bing No 1 and taking that place from their players. Whole China loves novak as well as the Japanese and much more others.
Zverev: I'll put myself in there for everything
Hahahahahahah
The comment i was going to put
Made my day
I'm sure Rafa did not want to put himself in there for anything, but the interviewer got him with "heart". He did try to think of someone else...you can see it.
lol jajajajajjjjjajajajjajja
I love how fast he responded with "David Ferrer" after the question about attitude. He must really think very highly of him, he was such a stand up genuinely nice person.
He didn't respond very fast though
He hesitated, he wanted to say Benoit Paire
He wanted to say Dominic Thiem we all know that
I'll pick kyrgios all day.😂
Ferrer is the tennis player' s tennis player. Everyone has so much respect for him because he could stand up and fight against the big four even though he didn't match their abilities. And people outside the big four were intimidated by his fighting spirit.
Glad that he chose himself for 'heart' because that was my very first thought as well
2:53 attitude: Kyrgios 🤪😂
lol... that was what i thought too immediately, as the player with worst attitude.
@@skychaos87 tomic is worse than kyrgios now, probably the worst.
@@art5 Yeah, Tomic just isn't as talented or as high ranked so he doesn't get noticed as much. Both are terrible for the sport though.
I think the interviewer meant it as positive attitude not negative. Negative ones there are many and easily known.
I was waiting for him to make a joke 😉
-Mr Djokovic can you describe your perfect player ?
- Respect.
What's this in reference to? Is it the on-court interview from the Aussie open semis or am I missing something?

Nadal IS the perfect player on clay
Nadal is King of Clay
Haha.. I agree 😊
Funny, but absolutely true
Nadal has most of the great components of clay. Someone could add a serve or a forehand etc but most of the attributes Nadal has.
Players so rarely come to the net these days that these questions don’t even include volleying skills 😢
It would be Fed no doubt
@@jeffpapiernik9239 maybe sock i think
And rightly so. Serve & volley as a strategy went extinct around 15 years ago, besides which, net play pretty much ties in with vision and speed.
This was inclouded in my opinion in "Shot selection"
tsitsipas has very good volley skills
Watching this after 21 slams, Nadal definitely has the best Heart, unbelievable player
As a Nadal fan I find myself more and more into Novak's backhand irresistibly. It's like a gift straight from the tennis heaven and was given to Novak, allowing him to create his own legacy as one of the tennis GOATs.
Underarm serve : Kyrgios :)
Ha ha! That's a good one!
This guy is very humble. Pretty cool to hear him give props to all his opponents. And for him to mention Thiem just shows how close he is to breaking the mold.
Nadal can win doubles match on clay, playing without partner.

I know you were joking, but he wouldn’t come close even on his best day.

Marion Bartoli can easily defeat Rafael Nadal.
Imagine having Federer's forehand, Djokovic's backhand and Nadal's determination
Carlos alcaraz lol, and he has murrays lob and drop shot and thiems fitness AND monfils speed.
@@gungeternal4119 definitely not
Fed serve, Nadal forehead, djok backhand...easy answer
This shows top players' knowledge of and respect for for their opponents' strengths.
Stop thinking Nadal is only physical and determined player he has an amazing technical, he varies a lot his shots during the game.
In fact you can put Nadal in every category (apart from the serve, but his is actually super effective 90% of the time) and it will still be worthy of the title "the perfect player". That's why he's one of the GOATs (not going into THAT debate, they are all GOATs, end of.)
leiya107 Id disagree with the return cuz he stands too far back compared to KING NOVAK and also maybe his backhand even tho his is solid I certainly wouldnt put it in comparison with KING NOVAKs or BAZOOKA STANs
@@rallynub956 I agree. Rafa's backhand may not be the strongest in the top tier, especially compared with Novak's and Stan's (when he's playing well), but it's enough to stand toe to toe IN the top tier itself. His fondness of returning too far back from the baseline is problematic at times, but I think it's also suitable for Rafa's playing style where he likes to simply swing away. Players like Federer like to take time away from their opponent, hence returning (and hitting) fairly close to the ball bounce. It's just different styles.
@@leiya107 Agreed those all are good points!
What i admire about him is the strength of the shots. Everytime he touches the ball to me it feels like its going 200mph lmao
The thing about Rafa is that while he isn’t the best in any particular shot (the forehand is arguable, I would say Federer’s and Delpo’s are/were better), he is the perfect mix of everything, and combined with his ability to compete, his drive and determination, and his heart, he’s able to accomplish far more than any of his competitors who may or may not be better in particular strokes, save Djokovic and Federer respectively.
They actually forgot about the return
Well the answer is obviously artem bahmet so he reason to ask
i would argue that return is either a forehand or a bakchand so they don't really need to put it there, it would kind of fall under the category "reflex" or "reaction time" that they did not pick anyway.
@@luigimanzelli3786 you are quite wrong sir. A return has nothing to do with a regular ground stroke. So no.

Rafa was being modest. I think he really wanted to say 'his' forehand. His is one of the best in history with the topspin he creates.
I agree, I thought he would have said it, but he was being modest.
But, he is not wrong about Federer's forehand.
@@Shankar-Bhaskar rafa's forehand way better than roger's.
His forehand is certainly more destructive when he gets to the right position. But it isn't better than Federer's overall. But he does have top 5 forehand of all time though.
Just for the fact that IT IS SO ANNOYING for other players to deal with, I just think it is the best. In a documentary somewhere, it is said that Roger had needed a lot of time to find an answer and applying it on the court. Accuracy, Annoyance, TopSpin, Power.
There is just everything. If I could have one forehand ever, I would have chosen Rafa’s because I know it will be a knight mare for my opponent.
Perfect Rafa...no one more determined than you.👏
Andy Murray gets in that group
The big 3 cover all except the serve that goes to Ivo......but when it comes to playing each other I think Novak has one of the most important strengths & that's Mental strength!
Yup he really improved on that. In his earlier career he was mostly losing on that aspect against the other 2. But somehow he turned that around. Btw with federer its the opposite. He was always known for being great when it really mattered. But later in his career...well you know.
Shot selection: Dustin Brown 😂😂😂
@Warrior Son 🤦♂️
@Warrior Son That was the whole point...
Warrior Son r/woooosh
He's so humble !
He’s too nice, he knows his forehand is the best out there
How humble and modest of Nadal because he knows the perfect player is Nadal himself.
Notice how besides Federer (debatably the greatest tennis player of all time), Nadal never mentions a player more than once. He tries to give a shout out to as many different players on tour as he could, when he could just choose himself for every category. Goes to show what a class act Mr. Nadal is, and why he is widely considered to be an all-time great and one of tennis’s finest players.
Yes but he didn't make the best player. Fitness could have gone to Novak and shot selection Roger. Everything else is fine...
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing.
When asked about attitude, would have been funny if he asked back "negative or positive?" LOL
the premise on the whole thing is already 'constructing the perfect player' so that wouldn't have followed.
Forgot volley: also Federer
And drop shot: also Federer
And maybe service return: Djokovic
Andrei Rachieru i agree with all of them but for the drop shot fognini has some very nice drop shots that come from no where
No maybe about djokovic for the return
Yup. Let's be honest Djokovic would still beat this perfect player.
Maybe me ? Nadal without a doubt the biggest mind n heart, he could be winning or loosing , playing a challenger to a friendly and he will still put the same determination in every strike , la FIERAAA
Rafa, you already have everything! 😉
In my opinion, Rafa is already a flawless player~
Heart, serve, backhand I agree.
One of the most interesting aspects that few, but this interviewer did, ask -- vision. And it is so true that Federer has vision, the ability to see something that others may not (yet), and accordingly this ability gives him the ability to choose and hit shots that others want to but can't. Often, in the case of tennis, it is tied to his reflexes and movement too. And i think these abilities translate into why his interviews are often so fun and yet insightful to listen to.
Nice comment.
Vision is trainable in terms of improving your reflexes to by putting in more effort. He is just very good at it though.
I’m glad Rafa said himself when it came to heart.
I think Rafa was being modest. In his prime, the Nadal inside out forehand was the most lethal stroke in tennis. Beyond yet, I'd go with DelPo's forehand -- no one hits bigger!
Nadal is an incredibly humble and good man. The truth is you could honestly put him down for most of those categories, his only potential " weakness " is his serve but it's not weak. Plus as somebody else said, Nadal on clay especially peak Nadal on clay would beat any so-called perfect player.
I know the interviewer didnt mean anything by it but it still sounded completely crazy asking it. “Whats so special about Federer’s forehand???” 😂
😂😂

I would agree with almost everything. Except Shot Selection and Forehand. for me, Forehand: Delpo, Shot Selection: Federer.
In some other videos, they asked several pros who is the best at what. Surprisingly a lot of the pros chose Federer as the best forehand. I'm guessing the top pros know something us average people don't know.
Federer probably has the best forehand of all time lets be honest.
@@RichardsWorldwe are talking about current generation rn. which is why i chose Delpo over Federer. Federer's forehead was lethal during his prime between 2000-2010. That won him 15 grandslam during that decade alone. If we are gonna consider overall, I would put Nadal's (2004-2009) speed over Monfils too. He was faster than Monfils back then.

I like all his cjoices
They didn't include "Return" either, or "mentality" because it would be Novak, for sure.
As well as for "overcoming tough crowd"
In mentality Nadal would have to put himself in there. Even Novak recognizes Nadal’s mentality is stronger than him. It is a skill that Nadal has had since he started his career, Djokovic developed that skill not so long ago. Consistency is a factor to take into consideration when it comes to decide who is better in what field.
@@minyrar7107 nope. Novak is tougher than nadal and everyone else mentally which is why he wins most of his 5 set matches
@@mayankdewli1010 So does Rafa? Novak’s mental strength is more streaky- depending on his mood, he can either go the Wimbledon 2019 way or just absolutely fold like in the Olympics SF or the 2022 AO Final. Rafa’s mental strength is more consistent, he always fights to the last point, win or lose- hence why he won the AO final against Meddy from 2 sets and 3 bps down when Nole couldn’t.
Well they forgot the volley and movement and that definitely goes to roger and novak respectively. I would take rafa's forehand right up there with Roger's forehand. Both have different techniques but both forehands are so destructive.
A perfect forehand can be produced with a good solid week of practice, but the ability to produce it in every situation require, rhythm, timing, balance, fluidity, eyesight, patience, humility, etc. Not sure how we can measure these or weigh them against each other.
Honestly I don't think Nadal's forehand is any less than Federer's, in fact I think in many ways is better actually!!!
