  • This video is about silver handling and silver storage tips. This is the fourth installment in my silver stacking 101 series. If you are new to silver stacking or if you have been stacking silver for a long time then you might be able to learn some things about handling and storing silver. When you buy silver it should sometimes be handled with gloves and sometimes it doesn't need to be. If you know what you are doing then you never need to handle silver with gloves. Most of the silver stacking tips and silver stacking advise in this video is my opinion. I talk about storing silver in capsules and also storing silver in a safe. Thank you for watching my silver stacking 101 video on storing silver coins and handling silver coins. Silver needs to be handled with care so that it is not damaged or stolen and I hope that by watching this video you feel better prepared to handle and store your silver!

Not only split your stack but put a small amount in a easy to find safe and the majority in a well hidden one. If a thief finds the first safe it's doubtful they will look for another.

Safes are always a good idea as a deterrent.
You can get cheap small safes & screw them down (in multiple hidden locations) if you live in an apartment...might not stop a thief, but will slow them down, since time is the factor for them getting in/out!👍🏻🙂

All things considered, (yes ALL) a bank's vault (with a Safety Deposit Box located therein) is the best place to store high cost valuables. Seasoned thieves know all about tricky home hiding places (not to mention those so called "dummy" safes).
One could purchase an adequate home safe . . . but, wait until you discover what a relatively small TL-15 or TL- 30 safe costs. Do review on the Internet (together with CZcams videos) what reputable safe sellers will tell you concerning how quickly a knowledgeable, prepared burglar can often open an average priced (not the cheapest) home safe in just a matter of minutes . . . using a simple crowbar and a battery powered drill.
By the way, many lesser equipped safes are attacked through their sides (not through their heavily constructed doors).

What about the plastic coated coin tongs? Was digging a pond for my farm animals when I was about 4 yrs old & the big spoon kept digging out coins someone had buried in an old glass jar that was busted! I use to keep my collection in zipped bank bags up until they were stolen. After this when I saved bills I hid them in wild places. Under doilies in my cabinets, inside a metal base on a small table, and many times I opened a teddy bear & poked 100's inside & sewed back up , in backs of framed pictures I'd freshly put new backing on, slit in mattress, zipped pillow covers & attached under drawers, etc. But, after time passes I'd totally forget about it until something would jog my memory. I lost the bills in the metal base table when we sold the cabin furnished & only later did I remember my stash! I gave the teddy bear to a nephew & years later remembered the stash but my sister had thrown the bear away. One small stash & a gold necklace was lost when I sold the mattresses & bed as I had yet again forgotten. So it doesn't always pay to hide $$$'s in wild places...especially when one is forgetful like me. Now one time in an old 1800's log cabin I lived in, I kept losing money off my stand. Later on I found a nest made of straw & shredded money & inside was a few coins & my ring. I'd guess a mouse but might have been a pack rat!! But, I learned not to leave money & jewelry out in the open. 🤣🤣

Add a piece of dental floss set to pull the pin on a grenade just in case they find it. The silver is added shrapnel. 😂😂😂

I know it's been a while since this has been posted, but I only started stacking recently and going through your vids. I am storing my silver in my house in places someone would never know about. In South Africa criminals enter your house and stick a gun to your head to force you to open your safe. I also have a few guns and ammo which are in a safe, so I have extra early waring systems to hopefully give me a chance to never end up in such a situation. I also don't have any coins delivered to my house, as I don't trust this "the courier doesn't know the content". Too many horror stories of leaked information in this country! As far as handling - I'm only touching them on the edges using gloves, cause even though they are not proof, they are damn expensive these days with ridiculous premiums and need to look like proof (well proper BU) in case I need to sell them and get my money back. The people and dealers here do actually look at the state of the coins, and there is obviously no way in hell I am selling my silver at spot price. I dread those damn milk spots. Definitely getting more Maples when the price is right, and off course some gold.
